That's pretty good. Back in the 90s I had a B18C1 in my EG hatch and with almost every bolt-on + tune I could only squeeze out 170whp lol, still was a fun little car.

Yes it's a riot! It's very raw and quite different (obviously) from my 330i. I have forgotten there's no ABS a few times and I'm constantly looking for a rear camera.

It's crazy how much these new cars can spoil you

I'm iffy on this sticker.

Going to my first cars and coffee next Saturday so I'm checking and making sure everything is tight.

This is a fantastic build. Makes me miss my old vtec b series Hondas. Great call swapping in a B series over a K series. I love how raw the b series is and you can’t beat the solid linkage shifter. Fastline shifter is also the best shifter for the these Hondas. Makes me miss the shifter in my 2001 Integra GSR.

Went to a local cars and coffee- and I haven't been in a few years but it seems a bit too organized for my liking. There's more people there that just have brand new cars rather than builds- but it was still fun I guess.

I picked up a J's racing strut bar, and an auto power roll bar that I'll install tomorrow- gonna be tricky with full interior

It goes well with the js racing valve cover.

Installing a roll bar with full interior is no joke!
Glad I did it though.

Just an FYI, and I'm not picking at it or anything, but since thats a bolt-in cage, and not a complete cage, if you wanted it for any regulated racing events it will likely not pass tech. It's a great build tho, would love to have had this back in my Honda days.

I do miss my Civic EX sometimes. It had a Z6 that for some reason was bullet proof and faster than any other SOHC around at the time. Hurt a lot of feelings in MN when I ran a 75 shot on it, then re-built it for boost but never got the chance to drop it back in after I had a guy do some body work and he botched the shit out of it and it destroyed all motivation. Motor went to a buddy that dropped it in a 91 hatch. He never had it properly tuned so it didn't run 100%, but he beat the hell out of it for many years before parking it, and it's been sitting ever since.

Thanks for the heads up!

But I've stated earlier in the build that I will not be racing this car. It's all for looks, even though autopower says that these bars meet or exceed requirements for some racing series- figured it was good enough for the street

Yeah the bars might meet spec as far as diameter, thickness, and weld type, but a lot of racing regs require welded in vs bolt in, and depending on the series they require full overhead and door bars also. But the mounting point is where I've seen the most people get kick back from tech. But, if you're not looking to race, then no harm done.

I will say though, if you run a harness be sure to mount it properly and at the proper shoulder strap angle. They are technically not legal for street use, but I've never known anyone to take heat for it. I find them uncomfortable and a pain for the street tho.

I won't be running a harness. OEM seatbelt only.
There's street cars that have OEM roll bars. The M4 GTS?

Thank you for the concern. Again, won't be racing this car at all

Cheers
