Had half of a leftover corned beef reuben sandwich with some macaroni salad for lunch today, from a new bistro up the road in the strip mall where OCC used to have their gift shop. The macaroni salad was dry and bland, but made a great blank canvas to which I added some extra mayo, a few spoons of my home-made pickled riced palm hearts, and a pinch of black pepper:

Whew! 25c so outside having a barbecue,chicken thighs, pork sausages,baked potatoes with sour cream,coleslaw, and massive mixed salad...then uncovering the pool and having a swim.

Leftover Bagara rice from yesterday. Topped with tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaves fried in mustard oil.

I hosted a BBQ lunch for ~250 employees at work today. The event was moved indoors at the last minute, due to forecast rain outdoors. Had a hamburger and some potato salad. Then, the power dropped. My colleagues in IT and I rushed out to find out why the server room generator power failed for the second time in a week. Back to the BBQ for me, where I wound up having to give my annual speech to the group under the emergency lights and on/off strobing room lights. Didn't get to go back for another burger before the food service ended. Not that I needed more food, but the beverage dispensers stopped working when the power dropped and I was absolutely parched by the time I was able to sit back down.....

Quick and dirty lunch. I nuked a pre-cooked bockwürst on a toasted Brizzoli bun. And I forgot to buy the rotkohl... Darn.

This should've been breakfast but ya know, late start.
Overnight oats, strawberries, banana will get chopped and put in right before consumption as well as chia seeds. I'll take a pic of it combined a bit later lol |

Forgot the pic earlier. Oats with unsweetened almond milk and diced up strawberries overnight. Add banana and chia seeds in the am.
