I just called BMW Genius and they confirmed for me that I had Lumbar Support and Wireless Charging removed from my car...which honestly isn't that big of deal to me. I've had Lumbar Support for so long that maybe I'll miss it when I finally don't have it. We'll see.

But I thought I saw someone say that if you're options were still listed on the myBMW site that you still had those options. We'll my car still shows Lumbar Support as an option so I guess that website not as accurate.

My CA has been pretty adamant that if options are still listed, they should be on the car. They also said they were getting 7 series and X5s randomly without touch screens.. so who knows

What seat option did you order? Even for Vernasca leather, the lumbar support and adjustable side bolsters are available only on the drivers seat.

With sensatec, you dont get them on either the driver or the passenger seat.

Regarding wireless charging, do you know if your dealer added it manually in the order by going into the system and choosing option 6NW? They have been restricting it due to chip shortages even though its supposed to be a standard feature.

My car is in transit from factory to port. I hear it's going to be a couple weeks before it gets there. AMMG42 any updates on your end?

Still stuck in final assembly a week later…

CA emailed and noted that the car is in "produced but not shipped status". Not sure what the hold up is. I was hoping to get the car by mid Feb before my vacation but I guess it could be as late as end of March now…

No stop sale on mine either.. :/

Not sure if any of you UK buyers are aware, but I had confirmation from my BMW garage that the 2 Series UK release has been delayed until 12th March, so unlikely will be getting it in March.

My car is also on the Grand Phoenix. Brunswick port originally showed the ETA being this afternoon. Yesterday the ETA changed to 7PM tomorrow (1/30). Looks like it changed because of port traffic and Grand Phoenix will have to wait to get into the port (same thing happened at Freeport).
Looks like the way I followed my car coming down from the port to the dealer might still work like it did for my 2020 car.

These ships are not lined up like New York taxicabs waiting to take your personal vehicle to where ever. There's a limited number of ships, they do various circuits, they also try to schedule being at a loading port relative to being able to get a full load of cars. So to me it is not unreasonable that my finished car could sit 10,15, or 20 days to finally be debarked from a port. My single longest holdup has not been manufacturing but shipping and overland transport (which also is somewhat constrained). My car took 30 days to move from "ready to transport" to arriving at a BMW VDC. Not unreasonable at all in my book. The dreaded RAM module holdup on the other hand was a paltry 10 days. So the biggest delay in getting your car can often simply be the logistics of shipping/transportation.

Gotcha, not saying it was unreasonable or at least not what I meant. Just surprised the website hasn't updated to reflect the status, yeah everything you stated does make sense as from a supply chain and fulfillment standpoint. My excitement gets the better of me usually lol.

No, they didn't add it. It's confirmed not to be on the vehicle.

Interesting. Did they specify if the driver seat was also impacted by this deletion?

I saw someone post an article on VDC in California. Here is a link to a more recent one.

I agree, that BMWUSA so called tracking site is pretty poor. It should have a few more steps towards the end, ie there needs to be added the second port and the second in transit step. Also an at VDC step and when ready to leave VDC as some get held up there for a while. right now that is all compressed into one step.

I've seen other examples of such tracking and i think it was a Euro version for those made in Europe and had lots more steps of info.

My car is on the Viking Destiny which has been at anchor in Freeport Texas since it arrived on the 28th. The port is backed up and the ship hasn't even offloaded yet.

Look like the Grand Phoenix docked in Brunswick this morning at 6:48 AM EST. Hopefully it's not too much longer before we see our cars. I'll be calling the Genius line tomorrow to see if it's been assigned to a transport truck yet.
