Car looks okay-ish at this angle. Idk … my first reaction though was it looked like a computer render at low settings. F87 looks so so so much better.

I seriously need to see the car in a different color. This color fucking blows and sucks at the same time.

Dare I say more Aggressive then the last gen (with the camo on). In full regalia, this thing looks Flinstone inspired. Yabadabadoo! 😂

This is the angle that gives me a lot of hope. As a 1M owner myself, dare I say the g87 looks even more aggressive. Hopefully looks just as aggressive without camo, enough to overlook some of the design flaws

The M2 reminds me of those cardboard or plywood body kits people used to put on their cars as a joke. Just bad.

So is this new picture BMWs idea of damage control since the initial leak didn't get the expected response? I don't think it's working

You are giving them too much credit.

When all backlash from "GrilleGate" was brewing, the recent M division CEO literally said that he couldn't care less what potential consumer's opinion is on the design, they'll eventually come around..

I sincerely doubt that powers to be at BMW AG are that concern about what the current internet chatter is on this model. They figure that they'll move units, regardless. I'm sure they would prefer if it was all positive but they are not losing any sleep either way.

Now, if it doesn't sell as they projected by the LCI, then they might consider some corse-correction but at the moment, they are working with what they have, however the chips may fall..

That's just one person. They care, if they didn't, they wouldn't be all over this forum. There are a lot of jokers on here that will shit on a cars design for the hell of it, and that will turn off anyone from taking them seriously. I however like it when we have constructive criticism here, so they know how their customers feel about their products. I know a lot are cynical and think they don't care what we think, because if they did they would have done x,y and z. I get it, but I see it having an impact on their design already. The new XM for instance has a new design, but it's not as goofy as the concept car. The new 3 series looks great and the 2 isn't as radical either. They got an earful on the M3/4, but it takes time to turn a carrier around. I'll put money on it that the LCI of the M3/4 will have revised grilles that are not as offensive, just look at the 3.0 CSL's grille.

I'm guessing same time as 4 series LCI which is spring 2024? So still almost 2 years before they're delivered

I'd definitely keep the F87 for now. Maybe consider again when G87 LCI comes out. That new Type R actually looks decent !

This is just my assumption based on their limited feedback available on the topic and a general understanding on the formula BMW and business in general typically follow. Without a direct quote or official proof from someone that handles this task, respectfully, your guess is as good as mines.

BMW will follow a standard marketing plan for this model but I doubt the higher-ups are actively micromanaging this task by making calculated leaks or alterations, based on the trajectory of online feedback. They won't or care to gauge how effective any proposed strategy is working based on how well their product sells, not on who on the internet doesn't appreciate its aesthetics.

It comes down to the dollars, as are not looking for friends or care about who isn't appreciating their vehicles, they only care about how well it sells and keeping their shareholders satisfied.

And I wouldn't hold by breath on a major G80/82 grille revision, maybe a cosmetic touch up or emblem alteration but overall styling is going to remain all the same. The demand is currently exceeding supply, so they have no issue pushing out M3/M4s, thus, I doubt they would care to change to what is working just because some online trolls whom wasn't going to purchase their product anyways, created some mean memes about the grille.

It's all about the Benjamins, fvck anyone's feelings. Anyways, this is just my opinion, I could be wrong..

The unreasonable online critics of this vehicle reminds me of The Comicbook Guy :
