I was reading elsewhere on this forum that the P zeroes are pretty good - made for the M2, not standard P zeros. I'm no specialist though, just spitting out what I read elsewhere.

There isn’t really a “standard” P-Zero. It is a bit like classing a tyre as a Michelin Pilot, Continental Contact or Bridgestone Potenza, they are a whole range of tyres that have evolved over the years with different classes, compounds and performance capabilities in the range.

Here's hoping the May builds still scrape through with the Anniversary roundels...
Interesting. Prior to release, I was focused very much on Portimao Blue and almost willing BMW to include it in the offering. Sadly disappointed, like many others, but that’s just what we’re dealt at this time. Frozen colours don’t do it for me. Anyhow, I think I’m going to love the TR now. Don’t want to head down the path of BG, my brother has a 2023 M240 in BG.

Most importantly, from my perspective, is my production date has been moved forward to May 30th. 🕺🕺🕺😊

Firstly, you're going to get some brilliant pictures in the sun with the BG M240 and TR M2!

Secondly, congrats on getting your prod date moved forward! What was the original date?

I'm hoping I get an update on shipping before the end of the week..

Cheers C,

I agree. Those two colours will look great in photos together. Another thing, this is the first time in around 35yrs since my brother and I have had similar/same cars. To me, that’s going to be something special.

Original production date was 23 June. When I heard the date had been brought forward, I really was doing a little song and dance and I hate dancing!! It’s now getting real after so long.

And, it’s even better for you!!!! Like I said recently, I am more than interested to see how long the shipping process takes. So, whoever it is that gets their car first, please , please share it. We all want to know.👍

And if you can get away with it, do a 0-60 comparison

That's a decent chunk forward - do you have carbon buckets?

Based on what I'm seeing, mine will be here between 20 July and 10 Aug with a 8 May Prod date. Add 20 odd days for yours I reckon and gets you a window to work with.

I’ve been at the status “en route to port of departure” since 27th April. I know it finished production on 21st April. My SA hasn’t seen any other updates, I assume it’s just sitting around at a port somewhere but the wait for updates is killing me lol

Most likely waiting for the container to fill up before it gets sent out - happened to furniture on mine previously when I returned from overseas.. a few of us have 8 May prod dates, not too far out from the 21st so I wouldn't be surprised if these cars came in together....

Yeah although in this case no container given its Ro-Ro but same idea I guess, wait until a bunch of cars are ready to head this way. I assumed all our cars would come from the west coast port but now I’m not sure, I tried looking at different ship schedules and couldn’t find any that go straight from Lázaro Cárdenas this direction. Perhaps there are more options with cars coming from the east coast via Panama Canal.

My G42 was on a boat within a week or so of build completion. My G87 has been sat in Mexico since late April.

The problem seems to be the backlog of cars on the docks here. Shipping companies arn't fulfilling manifests to Australia just to have their Ships sitting out in the harbour for weeks or months on end waiting for our useless BorderFarce to eventually do their job.

That's my exterior spec M222, thanks for the pics!

Most of your feedback aligns - interesting that you felt the car is noticeably slower than the M4 - I wonder if this is a combination of the weight and the fact that it has been de-tuned, especially off the line given the pull required from a stop at the lights.

The base M4 0-60 is what, 3.8? and the M2 4.0? Both manuals, auto is 0.2 seconds faster. Not much of a difference on paper. Think the difference really kicks in when you bring in the xDrive which is to be expected.

Be interesting to see this when Youtubers like Mat Watson etc do a couple of drag races.

Haha, will need to track down the “private road” that’s often referred to.

No bucket seats. I imagine that’s at least part of the reason for being moved up so much. I also wonder if it has anything to do with filling up the shipping containers for the shipping process?

Anyhow, received more news from the dealership today. The car is complete!!! The CA didn’t provide the status code as such, only that the car is built. He did provide the VIN number though.

Will be interesting to see if all these Australian destined cars end up on the same ship.

Good luck and hope you guys enjoy your M2 when it arrives, unfortunately I have to cancel my order as I got allocation for other cars I wanted more.

I have a brand new set of M3/4 826M forged wheel which I was gonna put on my M2 for sale if anyone is interested. Have TPMS and 50 years edition centre cap as well, if anyone in Sydney is looking to swap out the heavy cast M2 wheels for these forged ones feel free to PM me. Price will be easily 10% cheaper than buying from BMW and don’t have to wait 2-3 month for the wheel.

Had a look at a BG M2 this morning at Rushcutters Bay BMW.
It is absolutely incredible in the flesh.
I am looking forward to keeping mine 100% stock.

I have gone for BG too. Will sit alongside of this. Would prefer another colour but have again gone for the BG cause, IMHO, it suits the M2 the best.

It really is lovely in BG and would be my second choice. I have AW coming with carbon seats & black wheels.

Yep same BG was my second choice - never had a black car and will most likely never have one again, but this looks an absolute menace in black, and I can't wait!

Thanks for the pics all - very happy with my BG choice. Ctothej you must be happy with BSM, looks epic in pictures above.

Lex, do I spy Cognac interior on that BG...how did it look?

M2222, I think I speak for all of us in being incredibly jealous you have a GT4 RS incoming!

It was indeed a cognac interior and it looked great. The seats are super comfortable as well. I would not have considered the combination before seeing it. It is very elegant.
