Nice
Interior pic ?
U have same color combo as I have in the hopper waiting to be selected. I think. At this photo angle you can see the rear fender flare and the hood hump. Sorta looks more like an older M2 The Purple looks cool to me in the shade. Hap |

A bit a rant post, but also informative.
I feel I was a bit misled by my local dealer in the SLC area (if you want to know the specifics, just ask), whom said over a month ago that I was sliding into an allotted slot they had open for a dealer spec car. This was supposed to be for a week 34 production date. This may have been available at some point, but I found out this past Saturday that I was still in status 047...with 6 others in front of me also waiting for allocation! Needless to say, I was not pleased. So, there I was, stuck with my shifter in my hand. The call barrage commenced. I called dealers in my closest proximity first (Idaho Falls, Boise, Reno) and struck out at all of them. The CA at Reno was awesome, and referred me to BMW of North Scottsdale. I called them up, and boom, they had an open allotment in status 112 with a September production date. It was configured as RWD, but the CA was going to check that they could "flex" it to AWD (just my preference) and get back to me on Monday. Well, Monday comes around, and I get the dreaded news "someone else snatched that one right from under us. I'm sorry." Now, if I thought the CA from Reno was cool, this guy was a rockstar. He went into the system and looked at every dealer in the Western region to see which had non-customer claimed allotments that were in status 111/112. He found me multiple dealers, most of which were in the SF Bay area. Stevens Creek BMW in Santa Clara had 6 (Yes, 6!) such slots available for week 42 and 43 production. I call up Stevens Creek on Monday afternoon, and by Tuesday morning, I am back on track with a production number in hand. Per Genius, I'm sitting at a week 42 production. For anyone out West that is still waiting for an allocation to be assigned to you...maybe a road trip home is the answer? Stevens Creek BMW is about 15-20 mins from San Jose airport. Southwest flies out of there regularly, too. Paying $70 for a one-way ticket and then road-tripping in back home (~800 miles), is well worth it to me. I'd much rather do that than wait who knows how many more months to get my car. Plus, I'll get 'er broken in all in one shot. |

BMarley - same status for me as well.
However, like what MPR said I would imagine that our vehicles end up at the Port in the next week or so. But once it is at the Port it is a pretty straight forward process & should not be delayed any further. Here is the average wait time once a vehicle gets to the Port - Awaiting Carrier Assignment: 6 Days - At Port(MX): 1.67 Days - In Transit to US: .77 Days - Arrived at VPC: 13.56 Days - In Transit to Dealership: 5.78 Days - At Dealership: 1.23 Days All in all, we are probably going to have our vehicles within 45 days or so. |

Also, I think allocation amounts per dealership comes into play, as well. If you ordered at a dealer that only gets 1-3 allotments per month, and I went with one that gets 3-5 per month, I very well could place my order after you, yet get an allocation and placed into the production limbo line before you. |
