Uk delivery

I have been told my G42 has a week 41 production slot. Sadly in the UK we don't have a tracking facility. Does anyone in the UK know the anticipated delivery lead times after production?

The Chrome tool actually has today as my production date. Before it moved into the assembly status, the date was 9/2. So maybe it'll be done by tomorrow.

yes, that should be the case. in general, the online statuses are 1 step or more steps behind actual status of the car in RL...

Yeah hopefully nothing delays the builds. We should be on the same boat as well.

I hope so. I'm in Atlanta, so we should both be in Brunswick at the same time too.

I wish this was so. My 22 was completed 9 weeks ago on 6/29 and it still sits in Mexico. I hope you have better luck.

Just talked to Genius and I'm still at week 42. Hopefully this means any production woes are behind us, and anyone with an earlier production week than myself gets pushed through as planned.

Yes "usually, when things go "smooth". In some cases there arent enough cars to fill the ro -ro ship with your destination at that certain time and they wait for the other batches of cars on the production line to be completed and that's why the delays.
Or because some other production / logistics delay causing reasons...

Good point, I was trying to figure out how some cars are built/delivered very quickly while others take forever. I was starting to think maybe the ordering dealer isnt one of BMWs top earners so they drag their feet on delivery.

Moved to Status 154 today.

If I'm looking at the site correctly, I think the next boat that leaves Veracruz for Brunswick leaves September 5 so I don't think I'll catch that boat. The next one doesn't leave until October 2 based on my search so I think I'm still looking at mid to late October delivery.

Anyone more familiar with the boats/scheduling able to weigh in? I'm assuming that Brunswick is the port of entry for PCD based on a few other posts I've seen here.

I think they are padding a bit for delays recently.

Similarly, a couple of days ago a rep. at BMW Genius told me that it could take two to three weeks for a car to go from the San Luis Petosi factory to the port.

He also acknowledged that the BMW My Garage tracker is often behind the actual status of production. In my case, I have been at status 165/"in transit -- plant of manufacture to port of departure" since August 22, but the online tracker still has me at "Ready for Transport," which is two steps behind "Dispatched from Factory."

Mine is showing "ready for transport" but he said it is indeed on the way to Veracruz. I just want to go for a nice autumn drive before all the leaves fall!!! 😂

So, for all the people who have been sitting in "Ready for Transport" does that mean some of us are actually on the way to the Port?

I've been trying to figure out what the issue is as to why some of us have issues with delays / long wait times and my theory is that the Dealerships we ordered from aren't top producers, so BMW is focused on getting cars to the higher volume dealerships. But that sounds kind of like a conspiracy theory so its just my .02
