That's because insurance companies are for-profit and they're in the business of making money first and foremost. Insuring people against accidents and theft is only secondary and something they desperately would like to avoid doing.

Not saying this because I think you don't know. Just venting.

Thank you for posting… definitely like the Stradale design better than Zunsport due to more of OEM look.

When u ordered radiator mesh, did u order small or large mesh? Just wanted to match the mesh size for the side air vents.

Also, to install side air vents, did you have to take the bumper off? The radiator mesh only required removal of the black splitter… based upon on the installation video on Stradale website.

Thanks

I ordered the front radiator and the side air vent mesh. Had to remove the bumper to install both of them since the Active Cruise Contol radar did not give me sufficient clearance to install it without removing the bumper.

It differs by state. In TX they can & will increase your rates for a no-fault claim for road debris. They also can (and most likely will) raise your rates as soon as you notify them you've had an incident even if you don't follow through with the claim.

It’s a very bad advice. You don’t know this guy’s policy. You have no idea what he pays.

This is very bad bad assumption to make.
I have full coverage on my BMWs I have a $250 deductible on comprehensive which will cover this as it’s a no-fault accident.

Every insurance company is different. Each company has a different relationship with their policyholders and so forth.

Don’t ever make an assumption that your rates will go up or you’re going to be deemed or punished by your insurance company that’s also a very bad assumption to make.

Just a warning for everyone installing some type of vent or grill protection on your radiator. This could avoid your warranty as you are now causing your cooling system on your car to overheat and work harder to keep the car cooled… be warned. You are pretty much restricting airflow.

If you’re a cooling system fails because it could not get enough fresh air to keep the engine cool and Bmw fees that you covered up the radiators with these vents, they can forget the warranty on the replacement.

No you're not restricting airflow.

*funny story: the lead engineer for Corvette came out and made the same nonsensical statement when owners were installing aftermarket radiator grilles on the C8 Corvette. Then GM licensed the aftermarket grilles, charges $899 for them as a dealer-installed option, and miraculously they don't restrict airflow anymore...hmm

A rock also costed me $1600. Fortunately I only need to pay $100 for glass deductible.

Thanks… was the radiator mesh small or large to match the air vent mesh?
