Thanks. Ordered mine December 2021.... I have no idea what model year it is either but just happy it is now built as spent a month at 150 and was at 115 for ages too.

Asked my dealer if I could add the Technology Plus Pack and unfortunately BMW UK came back and said there was a production hold on this pack, so looks like the rumours on this forum were true. I’m scheduled week 40, ordered in April.

Haven't got mine yet but it's due in Southampton on the 20th and I will be picking it up from the dealer on the 29th if all goes to plan.

For those that have had cars, did you find the 10 weeks from build to arrival accurate?

Nope for me it was just over 3 months after being built in August.
Original delivery date was Mid October but then slipped a week.
Arrived in the UK the end of October and collected Last week.

Others seem to have varying dates, in reality it will likely be 2-3 months.

Finally got the email tonight to say the car will arrive at dealership tomorrow. From an order placed on April 3rd 2022 with an original production date for end of June, its finally happening. This order has been pushed back 3 times since ordering and we did purchase form a dealer with spec amendable slot. Started to think it would be 2023 before it arrived. Bye Bye G20 330i… Hello G42 - M240i in Portimao blue.

Collecting our Portimao blue M240 on Saturday, it arrived at the dealership yesterday , we placed our order mid May 22 on a build slot for September.

My M240i is so close I can smell it, just a shame the flippin transport company (BCA) can't seem to work out when it suites them to deliver the car from Southampton to Peterborough! Was supposed to arrive this morning, but then mysteriously dropped off the BCA tracker at my dealer.
At least my dealer is going to take my M135i off me on Saturday regardless to honour the agreed trade-in figure, and is giving me a 840i gran coupe until my car turns up!

According to dealer it's a transport issue. Wouldn't be surprised if the cars already there and the more profitable deals go out first!

However I've been told they have to have it out of their garage by end of month due to BMW protocol. Cars have to be delivered within same month as delivery. I reckon it's more about bonus cheques for Xmas and getting sales figures up for November.

Blimey, you like conspiracy theories! 😛. Transportation from Southampton to the dealer is totally down to a 3rd party company called BCA who, like most HGV orientated companies, is struggling to get enough drivers as the volumes go up.

Sounds like we're in the same batch waiting to be delivered then. After all the waiting and hold ups, guess a few more days won't matter.

I told them I would collect on 1st December to maximise the first months road tax. After all it's £1420 for first year. They said it had to go before end of November, but they can extend first months tax to 1 month and 1 week and 5 day drive away insurance, so I don't lose out so at least that's something.

That's the same arrangement I've got with my dealer. They got a confirmation of a Monday delivery, the car will be registered then taxed for 1 year + 1 week, and I'm picking up on Friday. At least I get to play around with the 840i for a few days.

My dealer advised me many months ago that it was a 10day rule in that BMW insist that all cars are delivered to customers no more than 10 days after arrival at dealers premises. There might be some truth in it if other dealers are saying similar?
