My dealer is in the process of becoming an M store and this was an M store event. There were supposed to be open slots for us and was told the good news a couple of months ago that I'd represent my dealer to only find out last week there were no open slots.

Those of us with F87 M2's are in a good place, I think.

Or, well, I'll speak for myself: my love affair with my M2 is burning strong and probably going to be a long-term relationship. If the new G87 M2 comes out and is awful, then I'm golden. If the new one comes out and is amazing, then there will be many years wherein I can continue enjoying my F87 before potentially leaping over to the G87. Either way, I'm a happy guy all around!

That sucks.It would have been a fun day.I went to one of these showings for the X7 before it was released.I might give my dealer a call to see if there are going to be any showings in Toronto for the Canadian dealers.

Yeah I was pumped and had been waiting for months.

I haven't been to a product launch since 2017 when they did the 5 series. Hopefully Canada is better.

Better than I was expecting for sure! In that I mean it wasn't ugly like I thought it would be. I saw a bit of the interior. It was fitted with a manual and idrive 8. Also I believe it had carbon buckets with some blue leather flanking the shoulder areas of the seats.

On a sidenote I received an email invite early this week where they said that among viewing the current M lineup there would be a special reveal as well at IMS.

Never figured it would be for the new M2. I had a previous commitment, but I would have been tempted to break it had I known the G87 would be on the viewing stand.

I'm sure we have some other Indy metro members on the board here that maybe were able to go to IMS, and if so maybe they can post their comments.

Full day. It was dealer training for M certified dealers only from across the country. It included 3 different driving events as well as some classroom sessions in between.
