It's quite subtle but definitely there. There was a pic taken from the Mexico early drives where in the shade it definitely has a tinge of blue.

I'll be the first to say I had absolutely no idea there was any blue in BSM, despite the use of Sapphire in its name. I guess I'll have to look more closely next time.

Not to complicate things, but .... as many around here know, Carbon Black is much bluer than Sapphire Black, and as someone who has owned both (and is mildly OCD), I can say this nomenclature has really bothered me. It's just lazy. Carbon Black looks blue in some lights. I can say that my BSM 5 series NEVER looked blue. You'll have to look very closely at BSM to see much blue.

Carbon Black is blueish and Sapphire Black is blackish. WTF?! OK, I'm done.

Just looked at one. It's more dark grey than black. Reminds me of my dark grey metallic brz

Not to derail any conversations about how cool it looks in black... has anyone wrapped a car? Is black the safest color to buy when wrapping? I am going to go for a Mineral Grey or a volcano orange.

I have not wrapped before but I gather having a black base is conducive to a better looking wrap job

Mostly for panels you're not going to wrap like door jams and under the hood trunk etc. Black looks ok with most colors.

I think I'm going black then wrapping a purple color.

I've switched colors three times now lol
