When you're sitting at a red light, your only purpose in the entire fucking world is to watch that light and get the fuck moving the very instant it turns any color that even vaguely resembles green. Nothing else. Not fucking around on your phone, not daydreaming or staring up into space. Not ogling Lolita standing over there on the curb. Just watch the fucking light. If that mission is beyond someone's capabilities, then they belong on public transportation or in an Uber or a Lyft or a rocking chair.

Oh, and if we're a half-mile down the road one of these zombies wants to get into my lane, they are 100% fucked. Not going to happen.

I'm about the same. That shit annoys me. Driving is really not that hard, people!

I know that when I see the opposite light turn red, it's almost exactly 3 seconds for my light to turn green. So I'm pulling off as soon as it changes. Why haven't others figured this out.

Also....if you come up on a light to make a right turn and you see the other traffic lanes have a turn signal......why can't others figure out that if people are staged in that turning lane that means you will have an additional 10-15 seconds to continue turning right until the turn signal goes away!

But no....they sit there wondering why traffic is only moving in one direction, then figure out there was a turn signal, then make their turn right as it's changing which leaves the next person stuck???

Wait...you're saying there's a pattern to how the lights transition from one phase to the next? That's crazy talk. Everybody knows, it's completely random. When the opposing traffic's light turns red, it's just pure luck if 2-3 seconds later my light turns green. It might turn violet, or chartreuse, or even indigo. I might stay red. It might go dark. So there's no point assuming it's going to turn green and being ready to take off. It's a perfect time to pull out your phone and dick around with it. Get completely lost in some trivial activity. You can always pause what you're doing on your phone and check the light every 10 or 15 minutes to see if it's green yet. It probably won't be, so you can go right back to fondling your 4G brain-dildo.

The site where my company currently has me working (school district) is full of negativity. Literally from the administration to the teachers to the tech staff I work with from my company. I'm starting to notice it's impacting me daily. I have a good relationship with my boss and the VP of the company, and could likely be transferred to another location, but I already have an hour long commute and the other sites are further away.

I get along well with the client (we do IT infrastructure and managed services) but it's getting frustrating to work with the "leaders" making their decisions (or lack thereof).

I can relate with this 100%. Lately I have been second guessing myself in my actions, words and interactions with co-workers. I come from a sales management background, the gift of gab and the ability to shmooze is just part of who I am. My current (toxic) work environment has made me a recluse as it just doesn't pay to even have a simple conversation around here.

On to a story... At work and in life I have always make sure I am polite and smile at everyone just to be courteous. It's a minimum level of decency at work!

So at my work, we have our elevators in a vestibule area. Once you come out of the elevator you still have to badge in to another door to actually enter the offices. One day I entered this area to take the elevator down, and politely smiled at a co-worker (who I did in fact know) that was making her way to go in the offices. She looked at me directly in the eyes and couldn't be bothered to smile and was more like Resting B Face.

As I waited for my elevator to arrive, I could hear/see her badge getting declined for entry... like 4 or 5 times in a row. I could have easily helped her by using my badge on the door, but I just ignored her like I had no idea it was happening lol.

We all hope people get what is coming to them through Karma, but how often do you actually get to exact it?

That's a great story. I wouldn't have helped her either. Aside from being a crabby fuck, if she was supposed to have access to that floor or building then her badge would have worked. I never badge anyone in anywhere unless I know them.. I don't want the responsibility of letting someone in and then 30 seconds later they shoot someone.

You know whats instant Karma means? There was this guy at the supermarket and wanted to buy sort of RockStar (Energy drink). He grabbed a red colored can out and returned it immediately. My dad always says the easiest money to spend is the money that's not yours and it's VERY clear he knew what he was talking about but holy shit we're in the hole for mid five figures and we're still trying to blow money on stupid shit?
