Great news and hopefully comforting for any of you that have a similar status.

Can't wait to finally get it!!
Congrats! Where are you located?

Nice!! What do you think the ETA will be to receive at dealership. Should be within 2 weeks right?

Which dealership are you purchasing from? Mine is BMW South Austin.

I’m hoping a week, but it seems like 10 days to 2 weeks is indeed the norm.

For all, I thought this article was cool, describing what the car transport ships are like and how it all works

Be sure and watch the video too

Also hit 165 today!

And I wouldn't depend on me to figure out our ship because I've been wrong. Ha. I'm just going to wait for my SA to tell me which boat I'm on and then go from there. If it's before October, even better.

I had been gathering info/watching endless youtube videos on G42 m240i for about a week now and pulled trigger and ordered one! Status 112 right now. I ordered with ZPK and drive recorder, Production scheduled after September. Hopefully it doesn't come back as unavailable.

Yours may be already at the port, or in the factory waiting for the train to take it to the port when the vessel is bound to arrive. But anyhow, I am 99% sure yours is completed already and the real status should be past the "Final Assembly" which is showing...
We all know already pretty much all these online statuses are in general behind the real life statuses of the car
Music to my ears (as much as you can say that about a reply on a forum).
Will truly believe once I see the car though

update: Just talked to the Genius and fully built - ready to transport. No idea when though..

Do you know which boat you're on? I'm just trying to figure out all the possible shipping companies at this point.

Just talked with BMW genius and they told me my status is now “In Transit” although my garage still says “Final Assembly “. Went directly from ‘ Final Assembly” to “ In Transit”

The car has left the factory and is in route to or at the port. As eddj stated I’ll probably be on the next boat for the west coast

4/21 Ordered
6/28 Production Begins
8/10. Production Date
8/11. Quality Check
8/29. Final Assembly
9/8. In Transit

The issue with BMW Genius vs the My Garage/BMWUSA site is, "In Transit" means two different things.

Genius says you are "in transit to the port", but on MyGarage it would say "Ready for Transport"

When My Garage says In Transit, it means you have left the port and are on a boat or on a transporter

So you are actually Ready for Transport (165) right now

I think it was waiting for a ship to go up the east coast.

see my edit. in transit can mean on a ship or on a car transporter, and at the port of exit and at port of entry

My status bubbles go in this order

Ready for transport
Awaiting carrier assignment
Dispatched from factory
At the port
In transit
At dealer

So you're saying it goes from in transit backwards to at the port and then skips to at the dealer? (they are not in sequential order)
