Oh yeah! Some just have a natural scowl look. Wouldn't want one, because I would never know when he's plotting to kill me.

If you are in proximity of a cat and you are not feeding it, I can assure you; it is plotting your death. If you are feeding it, it will wait until after it's nap to plan how you will die.

Haha, kidding aside, I have had a cat, or cats, all my life and love them. But they scare me a little. |

I've always been a cat guy too. Love all animals, but cats are just something all together different. I have a picture of my last pet, Hamilton, my Maine Coon. Miss that fury bastard. He was definitely one to be fearful of. The elderly lady down the street walks her dog past my house daily. She stopped me one day and asked if he was mine. I told he he was, then she proceeded to tell me how hers and the other dogs in the neighborhood are all afraid of him. He was hands down the doggest cat I've ever owned. Gentle giant....until.......

Among those amazing things about cats is that they don't (well, seem to ) project their personality: they see the world as it is rather than as they want it to be (and this is the essence of Zen, AFAIK). They don't look evil unless it's how you see them: it's just the shape of the head. By the way, it's so hard (if possible ) to perceive the presence of a cat until you merely see it because it's not there in a sense, I reckon. |

Was yours free to roam? Or did you leash him? I've heard Maine Coons can wear a Leash/harness and be comfortable, unlike other cats who mostly just fall over. Do you have a cat now? You can see mine in the pet thread, if you want. |

This is Hamilton. He was free to roam. He mostly just hung out on the front porch and left me shrines of dead animals on the front door step for me. He used to bring chipmunks in the house, let them go, then go take a nap....bastard. Nothing worse than getting ready to leave for work or be late going somewhere, only to have to drop everything and chase a chipmunk through the house while he watched, unphased. I no longer have him unfortunately. I had him for several years. He was a rescue. I started working more and more hours to the point that I'm hardly ever home. He deserved to have company and an owner that could spend time with him. I posted an ad on local sales network and an elderly couple that live about 20 miles away took him. For the first few months, the old man would call me every Friday evening, while drinking a beer and tell me about his and Hamilton's adventures for the week. This is Hamilton....and me holding him before I lost all the weight. Dear lord, it's been a while since I've seen a photo of me pre-weight loss. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...05&postcount=9 |

Our girl is Sam. She is about 10 lbs but fights like she's a heavyweight. I never let my cats out anymore. I lost several due to feline leukemia. Don't trust people or the elements, etc. so all my cats are now strictly house cats. Almost forgot we have coyotes that roam our neighborhood at night. |
