I've been very surprised by the color of this fish. He only really colors up about half the time, but it's spectacular when it does.

Little shit on the right (now about 8 months) is sitting at 65lbs. Looks bigger than middle child - but he's all fluff.

Other pics are from a pack walk that my wife's been doing the last few month. About 15 people and their shepherds get together an terrorize the neighborhood for a couple hours.

I was sound asleep at around 11:30 PM a few nights ago, when I got the Sheldon
Cooper paw, paw, paw, paw, paw tap on the head from OCD psycho dog. He was politely sitting at attention when I rolled over, but had a stern look on his face. Yup, he caught me asleep after I told him that I was taking the first night watch shift! Once he saw that I was awake and back on watch duty, he curled up next to my DW and went back to sleep.....

After putting down my dog about 5 months ago the wife and I visited our vet on Saturday to see the dogs they had for adoption and look at what we came home with......6 year old Pocket Bully (miniature pit bull) named Bugs. Sorry about the sideways pic.

Sad to say that we lost Mocha yesterday. She was maybe 5 years old as hedgehogs only have a average lifespan of at most 3-6 years with some reports of them lasting almost 10 years. We took her to the animal clinic this afternoon to have her cremated to be picked up on Thursday. My wife and I were very upset yesterday and on the way to the clinic. We have se7en more of these and it’s difficult not to get attached. This picture was taken last week.

The birdfeeder has been interesting lately. We've seen lots of Blue Jays, Cardinals, mockingbirds, and woodpeckers. But these guys were very unexpected: Green parakeets. Not the first visit, but the first visit by more than one

Our lab/pointer/Weimaraner mix "Tank" was with our family since March of 2010 and we put him down about 4 weeks ago. He was 14 and absolutely a delight of a dog. In his younger years he had incredible energy and speed. He loved to jump off docks into water and we had him in a competition where he pushed out an 18 foot jump. He was great at jumping straight out but didn't jump up so pretty impressive distance considering his approach.

He was a rescue dog that we found at a foster home west of the Twin Cities, MN. Apparently he was from Iowa, trained as a hunting dog, and then the previous owner just didn't want him anymore when he got to be 1.5 years old? So many great memories and we spoiled him so much in his final days. My boys (who are 9 and 7) knew him their whole lives so it was super hard to tell them he was being put down but we were super transparent with why and what the process was for Tank.

I miss having a fur baby running around the house but feels like I'm years away from being able to accept that I could have another puppy as there is no way they could measure up to Tank.

Yes of course. The bulk of my pics in my camera roll are from the 1st couple years of having him (pre-kids) but the last one was taken a couple weeks before he was put down. Took him on a little side by side ride, at very low speeds of course.

PS-- yes, I am sitting on a toilet in that one pic. Can't remember the back story there.
