Installed the SST Valve controller yesterday. At WOT I can't tell much difference between Sport+ and Sport+ with valves 100% open. The mid-pipe made a much bigger difference there. But I can tell a big difference in normal driving and lower RPMs. I think it's because the valves were normally much more closed in these instances and are now 100% open.

I'm in the same boat as you. I want to buy the cross-over pipe but I'm afraid it won't do anything (other than slightly improve exhaust flow). I'm skeptical about people saying it improves sound because it could be a placebo. I wish ER (or anyone) would take a stock exhaust G87 and just replace the crossover pipe to see if there are any noticeable differences in sound and/or power.

I did midpipe and valve controller. I have my valve controller linked to the Homelink buttons on rearview mirror. Can almost instantly mute the exhaust as needed.

I think I am just going to concentrate on HAS, wheels and some CF and worry about that next year.

Today my car got lowered (KW Has), with spacers, 12.5mm front and 15mm rear. Shop said that with 15mm spacer in front it would rub… (I asked for 15/12.5). They did not swap my spoiler with the CS one, afraid to damage my frozen paint 😐.

A bummer cause I was looking forward to it.

That setup looks really nice. FWIW, my car is lowered on the MP HAS and I'm running 15mm spacers in the front with zero rubbing. Ride height on yours might be a little lower than mine so perhaps greater chance of rubbing with 15's.

Is that maximum lowering on that kit or no?

Also, the spoiler removal on frozen paint just takes more time and you cant really safely use a 3M stripe wheel. Just copious amounts of goo-gone solvent and meticulous use of paper towels and microfiber.

To be honest, I don't know if this is max drop or not, shop said they would never drop to the lowest.

Did you remove your spoiler with fishing wire? Why did you use paper towels? To wipe the gunk?

Are you at the 10mm port install drop?

Between not installing a spoiler on frozen paint and saying things like "we wont drop to the lowest" on a KW HAS kit (guys actually have been swapping out KW for others like MMR for more drop range) your shop seems unusually gun shy.

I removed the lip with a heat gun very slowly, using tape wrapped pry tools and fishing line to get the ends up, then gently pulled while heating the rest of the span.

Then you lay paper towel over area and let them absorb and soak goof off spray keeping it on the remnant adhesive. Once the solvent soaks it sufficiently, you can start to gently wipe the adhesive off with more paper towels or microfiber. Just a matter of being slow and letting the chemical do the work.

Yes. It's set to the port install drop. 15mm front and 18mm rear spacers.

15mm front does not rub with stock tires. I ran 15F/12R before new wheels.

There are a lot of variables in play: tire/rim size, rim offset, spacers, how much lowered...

Took advantage of parents easy hose access and washed the car. Finished ordering parts and now just waiting for wheels. HAS arrives today.
