I am so happy now because these pictures confirm that the 2023s come with gloss black spoiler directly from factory. I really wanted that gloss black spoiler since I find it more appealing like this rather than in vehicle's color and was thinking to maybe ppf'it in gloss black as one of my first changes after delivery.

Dealer called me late today and told me they have traded 2 allocations to get my 240 and another vehicle they need. 2 x5s which I am not sure is a great trade for them for a 2 series. I asked about production number or vin and he said the swap will be completed first of next week and I will get-it then. This is the first positive news in this whole process since they took my deposit in May. So if it happens he said build date is November and delivery late December or January. Hopefully I get the production number or vin next week and I can start the real waiting !

The VIN is only generated when the car enters production (status 150) and about 2 weeks in before the production date of the car (completion date).

Edit- just looked at the ships schedule and it says eta in Newark on 9/19. Was this a change? Or did BMW have the wrong info all along?

Yes please! I asked them to keep all the plastic wrap from shipping on it so it won’t be completely uncovered most likely.

I didn't take any yesterday but I took some this morning. I can confirm the dash trim lights up at night. Cool effect.

Ordered a Portimao blue M240i (rwd) yesterday after much thinking about 230i vs M240i. Here in Europe the price difference because taxes is important but a dealer put me the decision easier with a great discount. So, I put he deposit and signed the contract, they expect the delivery in April 23 (as signed in contract), but they will have more info in a few days after they put the order in the system.

Also, they told me that almost impossible before 2023 and if I'm lucky maybe production week during January. I don't know if allocations in Europe works different from US, but they where pretty confident about the April date.

Unfortunately, and I don't understand why, we don't have genius our any kind of tracking.

My car OCD has me wondering why the dash M sport illumination has the red graphic small going to the large light blue graphic when the door cards have it the opposite.
