100% agree on the drive characteristics...BUT...everyone wants to be inspired.. - that feeling you get when you're waking away from your car and look back at it and think, 'thats one hot looking car!' For me personally, I need that feeling to be there when buying a sports car- along with its performance of course.

100% the reason I'm not going with the Emira. As beautiful as that car is, the performance isn't going to match the G87

Might as well milk for all it is worth! As the majority of us are aware, full M ICE is dead after the G87.

My guess is that they'll just go m2, then m2 CSL, which will prob be x-drive.

I guess there may be a comp, but it'll be an auto only, so not interested.

Anyone else here confused about what to do when orders open up? I don't want to wait until LCI but I'm worried they release a competition model a few months down the line. I doubt we get much clarity on that at launch

Yeah. With it being the last non hybrid, I just wanna get one, put it in the garage, and call it a day. I don't want an auto, I can't afford a CSL, and I really love ZB. I don't want to wait and not have that blue available.

Plus, with BMW, who knows if the potential special editions will even look cool. They're known for putting out funkadellic variants with weird stuff like golden trim, etc. the m2 may be weird, but it could get way weirder!

Guess it's like they say, first impressions are everything. Lots of people have already made up their minds after seeing some shitty pics from the worst possible angels. Not to mention one of the worst launch colors I've ever seen and under super bright lights making it looked washed out. FFS we haven't seen the official release of the car yet, maybe be a little bit more measured instead of flipping the F out? There's plenty of time for everyone to gripe (and they will) once it's officially revealed.
