The suv driver goes to jail. The police are here to protect the protestors. Some people on that bus may be in pain have mental health issues and may have waited 2 years for a hospital clinic appointment or an operation and if the road is blocked they may not act rationally.
The protestors have nil to lose. The sufferers can lose everything.

Its a easy enough repair for a specialist. I suspect this is the reason the car was purchased so a YT video can be made documenting the repair.
The price is for a new battery pack.

And rebuilding/reconditioning/repairing a Tesla battery pack has been done by these guys:

Just sayin'.

For every e90 over 200k miles there are a hundred that didn’t even make it to 120k though. I say that as a former N55 car owner and a sister with a busted N52 car, both under 75k miles and both had tons of issues. And I am meticulous with maintenance, had a 2nd gen turbo rx7 that was running strong at 200k.

Maybe in BMW circles they do. I don't think I've ever talked to someone in person who thought BMWs were reliable, especially amongst the people I know who have owned BMWs. I don't hang out in BMW enthusiast circles though

You are on a BMW forum, with people who are here because they are passionate about cars and more to the point BMW's. I suspect a great many people here have owned or own BMW's in part for their reliability.

"Maybe in BMW circles they do. I don't think I've ever talked to someone in person who thought BMWs were reliable, especially amongst the people I know who have owned BMWs. I don't hang out in BMW enthusiast circles though"

You also have made almost 700 posts on this forum so to say you don't hang around enthusiasts goes to the comment about your situational awareness.

That’s a lot of words to provide no rebuttal.

What is it with you guys and being completely unable to debate a topic without using logical fallacies every post?

The point of my post was to contrast the Tesla's failure of a major expensive driveline component at 225,000 miles and the corresponding drop in range that coincides with a failing battery. My E90 has maintained nearly 100% of its range and still has all its major expensive driveline components intact at nearly twice the age and mileage of the Tesla. I then added in a second post that BMWs literally have a reputation to gain high mileages, which is a true statement and has been said of the Marque since the 1960s. Perhaps the best word to use is "durability". I was discussing BMW durability.

But regarding BMW reliability, since November 1987 I've driven the five BMWs I've owned in total over 1,060,000 miles (my wife has done about 260,000 of that), and the total chassis miles (because two were bought used) is 1,183,000 miles. Out of that significant experience with BMW, I've required just two tow truck assists; both were cooling system failures at over 150,000 miles, one in the E30 and one in the E90. Have my BMWs required service and repairs? They sure have, but that's not the definition of reliable; all machines require service and repair.
Again, logical fallacies all over the place. And that’s absolutely hilarious that you think you know my “political persuasion”. You really can’t figure me out at all

You should round up all the ICE Whiteknight crew and maybe try to combine IQs

Oh the irony of talking about falacy when you then proceed to use an ad hominem in your very next sentence while arguing ZERO points in the last argument

Here’s another fallacy from the ice whiteknight crew. Insults are not the same ad hominem lol. But good try

Whoo hoo can I play this game too!

You are partially correct
Not EVERY insult is an ad hominem
However , you attacking his intelligence without actually knowing or proving his IQ is low is the very definition of an irrelevant personal attack while argued zero of the points made in the prior thread

Hey now we’re getting somewhere. Now you have to use this to explain how what I said was ad hominem. I can help walk you through it step by step

Edit:
Damn just saw your edit

“You are partially correct

Incorrect. I simply insulted his intelligence, he had never addressed any of my arguments in his responses so I am not obligated to respond as if he did. And again, an insult is not ad hominem and I am not saying his argument is wrong because his iq is low. I am simple insulting his intelligence because his arguments are full of fallacies.

I have to admit going into the purchase of my 135i that I had the same mentality that my car would have various repairs due to it being a BMW. Since owning my 2013 135i new, I have to say the car isn't any more unreliable than other cars I've owned from other manufacturers. The car has around 105k miles on it. Has never left me stranded. The only significant repairs done on the car were the OFHG, coolant recovery tank, EVAP vacuum motor, and the charge pipe. I had the water pump replaced but more as a preventative as it wasn't failing when I replaced it.

Same applies to my BMW motorcycles. My 2022 S1000RR has a couple recalls and a failed oil/water pump. But these things haven't detracted me from the brand as I've been riding the S1000RR across all of its generations on track with California Superbike School. I see how these things get their neck wrung all day for 4 days straight. I've seen a handful of breakdowns but that's across....what? 13 years? That's pretty damn good in my book.

Want to talk about a reliability nightmare and high maintenance cost, step into a Ducati.

Lol you also insulted the group in your ad hominem attack .
An entire group of people who support ICE are so called low IQ White knights in your own words
You're so far down the personal attack rabbit hole you can't even see the end of the tunnel.

I can give further examples of your attacks, but I don't think you'll be persuaded by logic.

No because you're arguments are invalid , they are not even attempts to use logic
Simply you've doubled down on your personal attack of his intelligence while providing zero proof
You not agreeing with his points are not proof
I read his comments and they were anecdotal, but they were not full of fallacies
We can agree to disagree like adults without personal insults
