I was told production week 40. Genius told me it means start of production. Well I went production begins today about a couple hours ago. Now genius says weeks 40 is when the car will be produced. I ordered in Feb, finally got it started today. Be patient folks.

Congrats! Yep you should enter Production Begins about 2 weeks before your production date, which is when the car should be fully assembled. I'm week 41 so I'm hoping to advance next week

Just curious, not sure if you mentioned in the past, do you have the Parking Assistant package on your build?

Placed my order for 2023 m240i at the beginning of the month with an expected build week of week 42 (dealer already had an available allocation) > was bumped up to week 40 > status just changed to production begins.

Seems things are moving pretty quick. Hoping for a speedy delivery! Super excited

It's so worth the wait. I ordered on 4/4 and finally took delivery on Wednesday. I look forward to every drive, cannot wait until I reach break-in mileage.

I just joined the forum too because I am interested in the M240i and possibly want to go the order route and in Florida and like to ask about your order...

I haven't gone to dealer because I wasn't sure I was ready to put a deposit on order but you said you put in an order and they WOULDN'T take a deposit?? Is that normal?? At what point in the order process do they then need your deposit??

Can you tell me if your order if they tried to add a "Market Adjustment" cost to sell over what is listed if you optioned you car on the buiild page?? My sister just bought an X5 and had to go to a number of dealers to find one that didn't markup the cars they had on lot.

Also, can you tell me which dealer you used in Florida and if you recommend using them to order or can recommend a dealer? I live ini the Ft. Laud area but drive to Tampa often so any dealers between them I think I would be ok.

Hello Don I’m in the Fort Lauderdale area I use BMW of Fort Lauderdale that is close to Las Olas I have purchased a vehicle from them before so I didn’t have to put a deposit down for the vehicle nor am I getting charged a Market adjusted price they are not taking any orders out of state or out of a radius of 100 miles because demand is too high on all BMW vehicles I can pass you my salesman‘s information he’s very nice

I believe we are on the same train to rail head in Concord, ON. I found out 2 weeks ago that our cars will travel by rail only from Mexico to Canada and not by vessel (RCC America ro-ro) as I initially thought. Last Friday my CA said that the ETA for the cars to arrive at Concord should be 24th Sept. So we should see them arrive at the dealerships this week of the 25th. Once the car arrives at Concord your Business Manager from the dealership should update you on the ETA to your dealership.

Either way you should 90% expect the car arrive at your dealership this week. The transport from Concord to Toronto by truck is very short, only a few days.

Concord is like 3 km from my dealer, and I did see them post on insta that they got deliveries coming in. So maybe... Thank you for giving me more clarity, who do you get these details from?

No problem! Usually is directly from my Sales advisor. I kept emailing or calling him every 1-2 weeks since I put my initial order back in April.

I tried to do the same but mine really makes it feel like he's bothered by my questions so I stopped chasing him, wasn't getting any details beyond "it's being made" updates.

yes, I can understand ... depends on each one of them I guess.
Also maybe mine felt he should give me more explanations because each time I contacted him I came to him with the additional info I was gathering from these forums and with those by calling Genius Canada phone line until 1st of July when they stopped giving the customers updates on the latest status of their cars so I was at the mercy of only my dealership regarding the latest status updates from that day until now.

Not sure for others, but I have never been able to see updates in the app. It just tells me to connect to the vehicle for more options. I could only see build progression via the website version.

Mine too, at the NJ VPC, with an unspecified work order since September 19. Estimated at dealership in four days.
