Hi everyone! I've seen many of the photos you posted, your cars are gorgeous! However, I have a question: why do many of you use spacers? Isn't it easier to buy rims with a more suitable ET? Here in Italy spacers are prohibited, so I wonder what the correct ET is to have the rims flush with the wheel arches.

If you want to keep the stock wheels (or swap to another BMW wheel but keep your tires), then spacers are your only choice.

It is also significantly cheaper then new wheels.

For me it is definitely a temporary measure until I run these summer tires down and replace with a square setup. I have not decided if I will use the spacers with my winter tires.

Can you link these please? How easy were they to install and would you recommend these for 20’ wheels?

Yeah they are definitely heavier. Car feels a little more floaty at high speeds for sure too. Not sure if its because I went from 19 to 20 fronts with wider offset, the switch from Pirellis to MP4S, or the added weight/lip setup. Probably a combination of all 3

Fronts are 20x10 +8 so yes 3mm further out than my SL-A's were. Those were 19x10 +11 fronts

I did not but I have to do either that or just heat/push in the stock fender liners. Going forward I don't really rub but in reverse I rub if I turn the wheel any more than like 1/4 turn lol. I'm not even low at all either tbh my KW HAS is like halfway down.

The rear rubs over big dips on highway but not that bad. I was going to max out my HAS before installing but I'm glad I didnt lol

I’ll pm the link since I’m not sure what’s allowed as far as linking parts.

As for install it’s pretty easy. Take wheel liners out. Cut out the vents, clean it out as much as you want. Rivet new mesh vents in. I bought a hand rivet gun and rivets for $30 at Lowe’s for the job but you may have other idea how to secure them.

Awesome thanks for the info / update. Surprising you are rubbing that much up front with just the change of +3. 275/30/20? Or wider? I still have the 19x10 +11 SL-A up front and wanted to swap to 285/35/19 but now more concerned on possible rubbing on the ps4s.

Fitment is perfect.. no gaps & the carbon has no defects.
Easy to install - I used 2 small & long flathead screwdrivers to pry the 2 clamps loose (mirror tilted down) & had a friend pulling on the OEM caps & they will pop off. You have to reposition the light using a small Torx bit, then pop the carbon covers back on.. took 30mins tops.
I like the Brooklyn grey & may switch out again at some point...

I took delivery of the new to me 2023 BMW M2 manual coupe in Zandvoort Blue. Had to meet the transporter at midnight in a Costco parking lot to get it as they were on a tight schedule after pickup from the dealer a week ago! Life is a struggle...

Otherwise let the mods begin! LOL . First up was foam wash, then hand wash, then clay bar...before ceramic application w/NYCAMMO Reflex Pro II next week. UPS shipments already arriving!

I’m curious how they tuck the tint underneath the covers for the third brake light…

rons e92 I'm guessing you must be somewhere around CT area given there was just 10" of rain that fell a few days ago. Jeez, that is awful to see on such a gorgeous new vehicle! I really hope you have good insurance and they provide you with a good experience during such a frustrating time and experience.

On the other side of the sound in Port Jefferson. Same storm. First flash flood warnings went out at midnight. We were already asleep. By 1230 everything was under water.

One person tried to move their car and ended up getting stuck. It just happened so fast there was nothing anyone could do. We really needed a few more hours of notice.

It's hard to see where the tint ends up close so guessing pics aren't going to help. It looks like the tint ends where the seam starts for the 3rd brake light plastic cavity but it is tucked under the rubber seal for that plastic piece if that makes sense. That plastic piece does move and flex a bit and might be removable.
