I hear you. I'm old school so when I shift my DCT I don't use the paddles because I'm used to a manual transmission.

truth. i drove manuals for a good time in my high school college days and never rested hands on shifter, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

Yes , M adaptive suspension is not standard in here and you can also purchase it as a standalone option for 1000 $ CAD as seen on the 2023 pricing guide.

I heard BMW removed the old shifter to add to the overall "more space feel" they chose to go lately with and to remove the possibility of accidentally hitting the gear shifter while driving like it was happening with the old one.

I really don't think these two things are related. The Adaptive M Suspension is standard on all M240is in the US per the order guide. The Adaptive Driving Mode button is gone but I don't think that's tied to the adaptive suspension in any way.

Adaptive mode allows the vehicle to automatically adjust throttle sensitivity, steering, shifting, and dampers based on the current driving situation. I wouldn't stress over loss of that button... I've had cars with it and have never touched it because I know whether I want to drive it in Sport, Sport Individual, Comfort, or Eco Pro. (I leave mine in Sport Individual except for extended highway driving.) I understand the concern over missing out on something they are removing, but this isn't worth the thought. And if anyone on here drives with it in that mode more than 1% of the time, I'd be surprised.

yes, I wanted this thing to be cleared 100% (because before on some 2022s I saw that the button is missing but in some others the button was there and was thinking it may be tied to the Adaptive M suspension if you have it on your car or not ) and also was just wondering why that button is gone now or is only for his because is RWD if indeed he has the M adaptive suspension installed from factory ?

I am pretty sure it has been removed for all vehicles. That is based primarily on the fact that it doesn't show up in any photos for the G20 interior (including the M340i xdrive) or the G42 interior (though we can only confirm photos of the RWD US version from the posts here). My take is that they aren't going to include it in the G42 if it isn't in the G20. (And it doesn't show up in the German or US configurator as well, though those can be wonky.) I guess we'll know soon, based on someone taking delivery of a MY23 xDrive G42.....

yes , I tried now to add the Adaptive M suspension on the Canadian configurator and it didnt add the Adaptive button ( I remember before in the 2022s when I was adding the adaptive suspension then that button was also being automatically added as well but again I am not 100% sure if I remember this right ...) although it is worth mentioning that this configurator has the new interior but still the prices and options from the 2022s models...

I believe that is the area specific for the SUV buttons and the cabriolet models ,etc ...

I would like to see if there is some kind of "sports display" in ID8. Maybe it something stupid, but the way ID7 shows torque and hp in dash and the info of sports display is something that any video of ID8 shows and I hope it's not gone...

I don't think it is, but I'll see if I can find something. Or when I go back to the dealer I can check on an ID8 car.

that rhombicle trim is very nice, even the start/stop button has some of it in " its background" ?

P.S: next time before attaching photos, you can open them with Microsoft Photos on your PC and there is a button at the top of it which says Rotate. Use that to rotate the photos to their correct orientation and after that attach them to your posts in the forum.
