Assuming the press release weight for the G87 is based on EU weight at 1730kg, the German market EU weight for the M3 manual is 1780kg and the M4 manual EU weight is 1775kg. DIN weights are 75kg less than EU weights and US kerb weights are normally about the same as the DIN weights.

Godfather doesn’t find it hideous but also doesn’t find it as appealing as OG, LCI, or M2C. It’s definitely going to perform and look forward to the typical M2 vs Cayman reviews.

If you're afraid of anything new in design, stick to some basic safe designed brands. Mercedes might be a better fit for someone unwilling to evolve.

This is a great example of how a concept design can look so good but not translate into reality.

This will sell like crazy. Demand will be very strong due to the price point, won't be surprised if it's harder to snag an allocation vs G80/82. They are paying homage to the E30 M3 with the rear fenders and overall body work. This is probably one of the best designs to come from BMW of late. Finally I'm saying great job to the M division designers.

Official weights are 3814 (M2), 3840 (M3). I assume they equip them similarly, although the M3 offers the CF roof standard but the M2 does not, but that's still only an ~80 lb. difference whereas the M3 includes two extra doors, 9" extra in length, and much greater rear seat and trunk space.

Definitely much better than the leaks, not as good as the OG looks wise. I’m sure it will be a great driver. I’d buy if I could get an MSRP allocation, but with markups I’ll pass and get the M4 or something else instead.
