This is interesting since that trim is NC for G80 whereas the NC piano black option for G87 is a $1,080 option for the G80...

Lastly I believe the lightning pack requires shadowline.
The reverse actually - shadowline requires lighting pack. They do not make the shadowline lights for the "base" headlights. So you can have chrome tips with base lights, but need the upgraded lights for the black tips.

From the german configurator, courtesy of google translate:

PDC is standard front and back, so is the rear camera (US regulation since 2018 iirc). My read on this is it just maneuvers the car for you, no mention of a front camera add. The configurator also doesn't show a black dot between the grills either. Which is odd because I think the G42 has one.

Not available unfortunately which is kind of ridiculous for a 120,000 dollar car

It's not cost related - it's because of the wide angle of the rear that they were unable to get a 360 degree view of the car and BMW did not want to stop short at 320 degrees

Doesn't the m3 have a fat booty too ? Sounds to me like a sorry excuse from BMW

Not like it's standard equipment, you pay for it anyways

I guess I'm a little salty considering my past M4 & 540i both had it. Sorta used to it I guess

I can relate - I have a 3 series which has it, hence my comment about it not being cost related. Will feel like a little bit of a downgrade in the M2 but expecting the drive to more than make up for it.

“Rhombicle” sounds like some kind of skin condition or next Covid variant. Tried Googling it because I’m curious what it actually is - no results other than BMW trim.

Yeah the drive will most definitely be excellent. I canceled my G80 allocation in preparation for it.

I've always been a coupe guy and the new M4 just didn't do it for me. Not to mention I wanted a smaller vehicle.
Have you decided on a color yet ? ZB or BG for me

I've driven the M4 and quite like it tbh, will be interesting to see how the drive compares with the M2.

Yep I went with BSM (with bi colour wheels) - had a deposit down months ago, locked in my specs last week (in Australia) as we generally get a much smaller allocation than our US counterparts (purely volume driven).

Semi-unrelated to the current convo but my CA just reached out to me this AM and said carbon buckets won't be available until March production.

Is the potential 4 month wait worth it? Or do I save myself a few thousand dollars.. hmm

It sounds to me as if he is speculating. We still have not seen the ordering guide.

This is probably a dumb question, but given deliveries don't start until April, does that mean the 2023 model year will only last 4 months, and that deliveries for 2024 models will begin around 5 months or so after 2023 models start arriving?

Great question actually as I have also wondered how this is going to play out. My current guess is that the 2024 MY will have an SOP of 08/23.

Agreed probably the MY23 deliveries will run from April to September with MY24 rolling in around end of September or in October...

Then the "changeover" to M2 Competition 08/24.

I wonder where LCI fits into that equation?

Does anyone know if Harman Kardon stereos are standard in the US? I don't see the option in the original post.

It is. In my spec sheet it shows HK, Sirius, garage opener, comfort access, etc as N/C.

Nice! Thanks for the insight. Would you happen to have a spec sheet handy that shows all of the US N/C options not shown in the original post?

Good news. At least it conforms they will be available for US market. Can you get the carbon buckets separately from the Carbon Package like you can the Carbon Roof?
