Friends, I'm thrilled to report there has been movement on my build. Still a long way to go, but it's exciting to finally see something different.

Allocation was received on 7/29. I was told I'm scheduled for week 44. Carbon Package with 6MT.

Any other carbon add ons? My allocation from May was just changed back to Order Received but I have the dive planes and spoiler added. Can’t imagine those are holding it back further

Those are port installed options so I can't imagine that holding it back.

The only port installed option I currently have selected is the MP HAS but I emailed my CA yesterday and asked to have the spoiler, the air inlets, and the armrest added. Those changes have not been made yet.

They have moved 8 m2’s off the lot, have one on the showroom floor that someone walked away from and are asking for a market adjustment on. 2 more are in in production/shipping and they had an open allocation. They said 4 months, but I have ordered cars before and know it might take longer.

EDIT - sorry, I read your date wrong. I thought it was 10-6. Oh well, I'll leave my post here since I like looking at the pretty picture

I do. Dealer said "late Oct" when I ordered. On Oct-1 I got a prod schedule of Oct-10. Yesterday Oct-9 build started early and it went from 151-152 in quick succession, and today Oct-10 it hit 153-155, and my M2 is now in Quality Check! Looking at others posts if all goes well I'll see it in ~ 4-5 weeks.

Things are happening quicker than I expected so far, hoping that BMW is working out the kinks!

You should get VIN assigned next week.

You can call Genius and they may know. Chances are they don't until car is on a ship. I am in the same boat as you (not literally, just metaphorically lol). Waiting patiently to see when I get loaded up for west coast.

Try this thread:
https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...=ship+movement

This ship https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9726700 is headed from Galveston to Veracruz, and perhaps Altamira, and may likely head back.

It's the opposite from what I have been seeing. PCD adds about a month vs the dealer. As first the car has to get to the PCD then they schedule you after that for pick up and there is typically 3 weeks+ out for pick up appts, from then time the car arrives to them.

In the dealership experience, once the car gets to them you can pick up 24-48 hours later. The PDI process doesn't take long. Shipping from port to dealers hasn't been too delayed these days.

Hey guys! Anyone PPF their front bumper on a black sapphire metallic? If so, did you have any issues? Mine is still at the detail shop and they have tried 3 times on the bumper and on the driver side they are having what they call silvering or lift lines. This is their first new M2 and I was hesitant, but I’m confident whatever happens this guy will make it right. Anyone else having this issue on their black M2?

It's as schedule for 2023-10-12 production date. The order is Carbon Package with HAS.

If I want to add the MP HAS, at what point should I tell my CA? Before production or before it arrives at the port? I recently got moved back to order received.

Must be before production. Once it goes to scheduled for production it is too late so do it very soon if you decide to do so

Technically you can add the HAS kit all the way up to just before the car hits the port as it’s a port installed option. Wouldn’t recommend that since you need to allow time for the parts to be dispositioned to the VPC for the install. If you add it at this stage it could add several weeks delay at the VPC.

Mine is not BSM but it just got finished on Wednesday. No issues with lift or lines on the front bumper. Was an easy install all tucked etc. Was this a custom cut job or are they using templates?

Templates were available for the majority. Only a few pieces had to be custom cut.
