No vin yet. I was originally a November build, got pushed to January, then back to December, and now back to November.

I've been unable create an account on here for essentially a year, not sure why... Finally can share my sad story. Shoutout Sethboii for keeping me sane until he eventually got his allocation lol:

7/2022 - Place deposit as first in line at dealer
4/2023 - Dealer receives HEA
8/2023 - Allocation received, week 38 Production
9/2023 - Production delayed to week 46 (carbon pkg I assume)
10/2023 - Scheduled for production (still week 46)

I'm sure a lot of you will think the dealership has lied, but given their size/volume and the area I am really not surprised it's taken this long. Wish me luck on getting this beauty into production!

You probably will see VIN about a week before the production date.

Just took a delivery of my 24’ ZB G87. Order placed on 27 June, so over all not a bad turnaround considering that the vehicle traveled all the way to Germany.

After driving it for the first ~15mi I can confirm that the car is absolutely incredible. It’s not even close to what my previous 22’ G42 was.

For those of you still waiting for your M2, hang in there, it’s definitely worth the wait! 🤙🏻

The "2024" is referring to the model year only, I believe. If it's in the queue (scheduled for production) it should be completed within 3-4 weeks. See https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...84&postcount=1

I was able to test drive a used G87 M2 on Saturday. It was the dealer's HEA car the previous owner traded in after putting 2600 miles on it. I admit I thought it would be similar in driving behavior to my previous F22 M240i and boy I was wrong. I am now back on the waiting list at my dealer and they think they could get me a new one by next summer. Having recently sold my M240i and getting a chance to test drive one solidified the decision for me.

If anyone is interested in the used M2 for sale the price is $65,000, has like $3500 worth of 3M clear protectant, has the carbon fiber roof, 6 speed manual, ZF blue, heads-up display. And the break in service has been completed. Seems like a decent deal for a car that the previous owner spent $70K + on and it drives like a dream. The dealer is BMW of Minnetonka, MN.

Build week delayed again until week 48. First week it was 36 (MY23), then week 46 now week 48. Sooo disheartening. Hope it ends up getting built…

I was originally week 27 and didn’t get built until week 40, but at long last, I’m taking delivery today. Just stay patient and it’ll be here before you know it!

i noticed that many G42 owner jump to G87 LOL , I am 22 G42 owner also , and my G87 is in assembly progress now . And same color, same rim and same has not CF roof as yours

I went to see that car and they told me a kid who moves car with minimal manual experience crunch the front of the bumper trying to move it. Maybe I should go test drive it if they are letting test drives. I had a deposit for one but cancelled it when first views came out.
