The way these connectors are designed it’s highly unlikely. Are you lowered on springs?

Could a bad alignment cause it? The roads are terrible where I live. I remember thinking that the ride was really nice when I got the car. Now I'm bracing at every pothole. |

Finally ready to share
After getting my wheels I'm finally ready to share my progress. I live in San Francisco where hills and street conditions are brutal, so unfortunately it would be unwise to my front lip to lower the car to get rid of the wheel gap. Other than that, I'm super happy with the wheels and how the carbon fiber kit pieces have come together. I'm also happy with my engine compartment...the matte carbon fiber really compliments the shiny exterior. What should I do next?

Lowering
Larger tires (e.g. 285 & 305) reduce the gap a little without that change.

Yeah, it's a Karbonious strut brace. Kind of expensive, but it looks sick. Not sure if I'm going to go down the tuning route. For the city, it's plenty of power and I don't have any plans on tracking it. I say that now, but the upgrade bug always ends up biting me! 🙄😂 |

Alpha-N Front Lip MHC Side Skirts CT Carbon Rear Diffuser and Corner pieces I was planning on getting the Akropovic exhaust with the octagonal tips and thought that the shape of the CT Carbon diffuser matched well with them. Thanks...appreciate you! |

Yeah, I see what you mean, but I'm a bit old school...I love the slammed look. The gap with the wheels is growing on me though. It kind of has a bit of different old school vibe to me now... feels like an old muscle car look to me.

The corner pieces were a bit of gamble. I wanted to continue the line from the front splitter to the side skirts then to the rear but the shape of the rear bumper hides the diffuser, so having just a diffuser doesn't carry that line through to the back and it looks a bit unfinished. The corner pieces bridge the gap of that line. They stick out a bit more than I'd like, but they do the job. The nice thing is, you can get them separately if you have the "stock" M Performance diffuser. I had the M Performance diffuser but I liked the exhaust cutout shape of the CT Carbon one. I think it matches the octagonal Akrapovic tips nicely.

Yes. It actually gave me unexpected results. The muffler seems quieter in cab with both valves open and closed. From outside it is louder than before. It completely changed the tone of the exhaust to a deeper rumble. Standing behind my car while it was being revved was loud with the AA. Now with the mad axle back with valves open you almost have to cover your ears during some of the pops cause it hurts your ears. Definitely more bass, you can feel it in your chest more.
It’s just trippy cause like i said while driving it seems a tad quieter, but it’s not. |
