Friends, it's finally happening. A car exists. It's not complete, but the body exists, it has paint on it, and it's entering the assembly line.

07/29: Allocation received
10/10: Scheduled for production
10/26: Production begins
11/08: Exterior body assembly begins
11/08: In the paint booth
11/08: Entering assembly line

Anyone opt in for the M drivers package? Just due to resell value, I opted in- not that I want to hit 177.

11/7 build just entered quality check.

I've been driving a Chevy Bolt while I wait, and I just can't do it anymore. Please BMW, I need a real car.

Exact same yo-yo, even down to org and adjusted weeks. Killing me.

Hotline told me it was a parts delay.

It is included in the Carbon Package so I am getting it but I otherwise would not have. I can't imagine it will make any difference in resale value. The bulk of the cost is for the M school.

I put myself on the list for a new g87. Eagerly awaiting an allocation and complete the build. It's going to look great next to my f80!

I got everything besides the CF buckets just due to the fact that I sat in my buddies and found it very hard to heel toe (they look cool though). So I opted for the CF trim,CF roof, and m drivers package. $2500 isn’t a big deal compared to how much I’m going to take advantage of those M cars in thermal lol.

Nice! If you haven't been before, it's a great experience. I've been to the SC facility many times. They will remind you repeatedly that they are not your tires and not your brakes and they'll push you to go harder. It's a ton of fun.

Folks, I got an allocation on 9/30, scheduled for production in mid-October, and now I just found out it's in the final assembly stage. When should I expect the delivery (I live in No. Cal)? I was initially told by the dealer the expected delivery would be Jan/Feb 2024 and I created my financial plan accordingly. If the delivery is sooner, say December, I need to change my plan accordingly. I will be thrilled to get an early delivery but I need to plan ahead financially. Thanks for your help.

was a week 47 build but today bmw tracker showed i entered production and received a vin number.

Mine does not have the sunroof. The sunroof is a standard in the US. I went with the carbon roof as it's a part of the carbon package.
