Why you, Luke is the son?! Well, just that this is relatively new. I wasn't being unreasonable like when I wanted an embargo for Dexter, cmon dude. :P

I know, I just like being in the dark and finding out at the proper time, like he found out w/o someone spoiling bits for him. Now I know nothing significant happens to him. Not a killer reveal but still.

Finished Valhalla. Much like the Discovery version, except more T&A and blood, so I enjoyed it.

How the Mind Work on Netflix is interesting, and good for a short view right before bed, while icing the shoulder. Short enough to finish before the eyes close, yet still provide some interesting insights.

Try Movies That Made Us too, really not bad, bit of humor too. Good for that window where the wife passes out but too late to start a movie.

OK I got about a half dozen episodes in, at the point where the young male lead has been found out by the nazi boss after spending a night at his house.

I will go back to it but fundamentally, i don't know what it is, i am struggling with it, not sure if boredom or the casting or the lack of care for the characters or what. My test is my phone, so, if I pick up my phone to scroll as a show is on, i'm not that into it.

If you are not into the show after 12 episodes, don’t think you will suddenly come around. The seasons slowly build, from one season to the next, and characters’ storyline ebb and flow to accommodate. I think the series focuses more on the nuances and scenery of an alternate reality, with the expectation that it will keep the viewer engaged. Granted, there are lulls, but all comes together in the end.

Now that I finally finished Pieces of Her...

***SPOILER ALERT***

Is that Jane the worst ever? All the children were schemers or against the dad, an even more sociopathic Succession. Man, really hated all her stupid and destructive choices. Nick is Nick, psycho-loser Manson wannabe but what the hell did she see in him, going head-over-heels and wanting to do that to her dad because he's 'overbearing'? Talk about screwing up her silver spoon life and her daughter's.

Feels like it has run its course. I think season 5 is scheduled to be the final season.

I just started the new (Jack) Reacher on Amazon Prime. There are less “are you kidding me, that’s not realistic” moments and more “oh I see you’re paying attention to details”. It’s entertaining and I’m trying to avoid watching the whole first season as season 2 isn’t out yet.

If you're stuck for something try the HBO doco called Patient Zero. No, not covid, but rather chasing the source of the AIDS epidemic as it exploded across the USA. CDC types knew something was happening but couldn't pin it down, for good reason, turns out a flight attendant was a major spreader. It went deep into his life, acquaintances etc, seemed a decent fellow but unfortunately his popularity meant he unknowingly spread the virus across the continent in short order.

I's a moving doco, touches on the loss the gay community felt and the stigma, in the end it cost 8 million gay lives, which is a STAGGERING number.

I'll give it a watch, but HIV was strategically unleashed by the government. I firmly believe that.

No you won't. I won't turn this into that type of thread, but there's a lot of information out there about HIV's laboratory roots. Population control is a real facilitated phenomenon.

I never heard of that but don't automatically discount it. Given your belief, I'd love to hear your thoughts about these past 2 years (ok, maybe not ITT haha). We may have even more in common. I'm VERY cynical of ppl in power and it's quite disheartening that that saying absolute power corrupts absolutely often rings true.

We can definitely dialogue it. I don't mind presenting my views.

In PM please! Don't need this thread getting locked.

Back on topic, I've recently found a source for old Top Gear episodes and have been re-bingeing my way through them. It's fun because I know which segments to totally skip.
