Since the 6+ was introduced, carrying the phone was my concern but I couldn't help it when the 7+ was introduced with dual camera. Now I get to carry around the 7+ and Galaxy s5 work phone .

I'm not getting mine until Nov 9th lol.

I am definitely still in the "why the hell did the remove it" camp...but they aren't putting it back in.

I use a pair of Bose Soundsport Wireless headphones for the gym, I'll use the adapter for my noise cancelling phones when I travel, and use an adapter on my custom IEM's for when listening at home. Not a big deal to me personally.

I've already seen companies selling wireless adapters for wired headphones so I don't see how this can be THAT inconvenient for people

Me too. I mean I'm not an audiophile I have in ear Bose I used for laptop movies during travel etc and got wireless Beats as a gift which I use while shoveling the driveway in winter or working on the car. I'm sure most companies would ditch the headphone jack and not even give you a free adapter. So it's not a big deal at all especially when you factor in what you're getting in return

People...headphone jacks are going away on cell phones. Wires are going away on mobile devices. Get used to it...we'll be there in 5 years or less.

People are so married to old tech. Apple's goal was never to make a wired connection superior....it's all about wireless. Wires are annoying. Audiophiles can listen to their wired setups in the comfort of their own home. No one is trying to listen to high quality audio from an iPhone anyway.

You want to use your old, shitty wired headphones...use the dongle. The rest of us are moving on.

As much as I think the iphone 7 is just meh, I'll give credit to Apple for removing the damn headphone jack. Just like they removed the optical drive from their laptops and everyone had a hissy fit back then also. Haven't missed the optical drive at all and I'm sure I won't miss the headphone jack either.

You just have to pull that bandaid and some people will bitch and whine about it but it has to be done.

Exactly. The only thing I am still tethered to are my $2k custom JH Audio's. However, these usually don't leave my house as they are what I use for drumming and audiophile quality listening. To your point, not ideal to listen to out of the iPhone as is.

No one is getting "wireless" adapter the only thing people are getting is 3.5mm to lightening adapters, hence my point that there are already third party wireless adapters that go along with the free 3.5mm adapter

Unfortunately no once my order went to "preparing for shipment" it says I'm unable to change or cancel. Only thing that's allowed is a return but that's after taking delivery

Watch the keynote for your answer. The jack takes up too much space inside the phone. Want bigger batteries or room for other components, something has to go.

Android devices makers will be following suite in the near future I'm sure.
