Yeah Grigio's shade depending on lighting is one of the reasons it originally caught my eye.

Curious. Is there a technical reason? I am guessing not, and that this is purely a price segmenting strategy?

100% money grab. It's not enough they get you for the cost of the individual color. They could give you a standard solid roof (which I would prefer).

The midnight purple looks a little darker in those photos than they appear in some others. Perhaps due to the cloudy conditions the colors photos were taken in. Can’t wait to see mine in person.

Im getting cold feet on Voodoo Blue; that’s just a very bright color to daily drive. Grigio is growing on me, but paying 3k for grey just seems wrong.

I have an Audi S4 in Turbo Blue which is a similar color to Voodoo Blue and it really got old to me — it is quite bright and saturated to daily drive.

As a comparison, my M2 is Zandvoort Blue, and I don't feel the same at all — love the color and will forever. It is simultaneously bolder but less loud, if that makes sense.

Don't mean to be negative but wanted to help you make the right call for you if you have a chance to change. Grigio and ZB are both gorgeous.

To me the ZB almost looks grayish in certain lighting. I love the color and is still one of my favorites and fully agree it stands out but also doesn’t. It’s in that weird in between

This is why it's amazing that they are giving us more color options, everyone has a different opinion.

I'd never pick gray, let alone pay for it.
Absolutely I'd go with Twilight Purple or Java Green, but the last 3 cars I've had have been black 😅

Replacing the Audi S4 in Turbo Blue with a 2025 X3 M50 in BG, so I can get behind this too.

I think Voodoo Blue would not be an issue to drive daily….Jave Green on the other hand…?

Just genuinely curious why a brighter color would be hard to daily drive?

It might also be because I've come from several black cars in a row, but I'm not sure the color would have any impact on whether I daily it or not.

It's a performance car, bright/bold colors all the way. The black, white, greys can't tell them apart from the standard 2-series. So pedestrian. It's like all the old guys who buy white Corvettes or white Porsches

It's a color that's going to get a lot of attention I would think. Could be a good or bad thing depending on what you want.

Wing mirrors

I notice that the wing mirrors for these are not colour coded like the standard UK cars.

Good observation; the Grigio presscar also has black mirror caps..

EDIT; the US configurator shows black mirrors on the individual colors. https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...exterior/color
