Thanks! You too!

Headed to Baltimore as well!

Finally destination is Richmond VA...

Fingers crossed we're on a ship together soon and staring at boat trackers into the wee hours...

Great question. There are 3 dealerships relatively close to me in the Dallas area and all had some really long lines. One was 48 deep when I got in their line in April 2023 as well. None of the 3 dealers accepts deposits to join the line, so the waitlists likely had a number of people who liked the idea of an M2, but when their allocation came due they declined.

The reason I didn't look around outside of the DFW area is because I wasn't sure I was ready to say goodbye to my 135 6MT that I've owned for 10 years. Not sure we'll see many cars like it produced going forward, and I love the way it drives. The wait gave me more time to consider what I'll do with the 1, and I kinda enjoy the buildup of excitement while waiting, so I didn't mind much if it was a year or more. Ended up being about 7 months, so not too long all things considered.

My M2 build got moved from week 47 2023 to week 2 2024. I ordered the frozen blue paint which is no longer on the configurator on bmw.com 😮
I’m ok with waiting longer but a 7 week delay does suck.

Frozen Portimao will be a nice touch. I am excited to see the 2 frozen colors when they start shipping.

Lucky ducky! I tired to order a specialty color but my dealer straight up said it was unavailable for my week 48 build.... Best of luck, gonna look awesome

Mine has been RFT for a lil while now, built end of Oct. Where do you see what port it's going? My dealership is in north Philly area.

Who said you have to pick one? I too was struggling with the idea of getting rid of my 135i, so I opted to just clear out more space in the garage so now I can fit both!

Will be nice to have a daily / beater for trips into SF and stuff like that.

No way to see what port it’s going to specifically, however it will probably hit Baltimore because of VPC there. Just find the shipping schedule and have to guesstimate what ship it will go on that will hit Baltimore eventually.

Those are good guesses to be honest! That would be assuming we’re both at port in Altamira instead of Veracruz. Who knows at this point? Lol

I too am at Ready for Transport, have been for a few days. I'm doing Performance Center Delivery so my port is Brunswick. Really hoping for a pre-January delivery but we're cutting it close at this point.

I wish that were the case... and I'm still not 100% certain I'll part with the 135, but my wife has a work car and personal car, so the M2 would bring us to 4 total with 2 spots in the garage. Tough sell having both of mine in there, but I suppose I haven't asked... lol.

The thought of bringing an M2 into San Francisco sends shivers up my spine. Great move keeping the 135i.

Haha, seriously! No chance my M2 is ever going to drive those beaten streets, let alone park on them.

I accidentally left the 135i unlocked for one night in Oakland a few months ago and a homeless person spent the night in it. It goes without saying that I used an entire bottle of disinfectant on the interior the next day.

At least nobody will spend the night in the CF bucket seats as tempting as that may be.

If a homeless person smoked a cigarette in my M2 like they did in the 135i I'd be heading straight home to re-watch John Wick. Kidding... mostly.

I'm in Oklahoma City and in the same situation. It's been on Final Assembly since Nov 10.

I read from other posts that the online tracker doesn't update very well after this stage. Some people reported that the next update was after it got on a ship. Hoping that's the case for us.

Your car could be waiting for transport or could be in route to port of exit. My car sat in ready for transport for over a month, but my port of delivery is on the east coast. Considering your port of entry is Texas I’d say you’re on rhe home stretch and probably a month away for sooner from delivery. Have fun, the care is awesome.

P.S I’m an Oklahoma City native myself.
