I just looked this morning. I think it was the picture, but thanks for the heads up

Mine is ready for transport as of last Friday. So depending how fast it moves from there maybe early to mid Dec.

Small PSA. If your build happens to include ZQP (963M FrzGrey Wheels) and your port of arrival is Galveston (TX), your car will be stopped at port until you pick different wheels.

Deposit/Build: 3/15
Production Date: 10/24
At Port: 11/08

My dealer had to pester them for us to even learn this was the problem.

And with a 6MT in the G87, you're getting the older charger that is in the center console, rather than the newer one that the autos get (which still charges slow and cooks the phone).

I hope you enter production soon. Keep us up-to-date.
I optioned it (with the auto) as the i had made the assumption that the tech has gotten better. My 2023 Golf R has a wireless charger and the wife and I use it all the time. It works really well actually and doesnt seem to cook the phone. I use Android and she uses iPhone. I was hoping the one in the M2 would be similar. If it isnt, then oh well.

I got an amazing text last night saying that an allocation just opened for a January production spot on a new M2. I grabbed it and put my deposit down. Such good news as I thought I would be waiting until Aug to Oct time frame for a car. This could be ideal timing for driving season here in MN.

Hey guys,
New to the forum, just placed an order for a '24 m2 last week after waiting three months for a ct4-v without any progress. It'll be a race to see which car comes in first! Going to follow the forum in a quest for patience... really liking the look and design of this new M2 - always been a sucker for a small 2 door coupe. Two cars are actually within $1,000 with both nearly base... Definitely getting much better service at the BMW dealership near me, but no allocation from either dealership at this point. I'm in no rush probably just going to let it play out...

Finally put my order in

Just sharing the exciting news... put in my order with deposit for my 2024 Brooklyn Grey M2 on 11/21. Literally checking everyday regarding allocation / production number. I am in Houston, Texas and I realize the wait could take months. Anyone in Houston or Texas that can share their experience?

Congratulations on the New Car Order

a 3 to 4 month wait is very normal given current conditions and you being in Houston (ship docks in Galveston) should be a simpler boat ride compared to the cars going up the East Coast

I called the BMW Genius Hotline and reduced my anxiety from multiple checks of status per day to calmly waiting as best I can for my build week to come up.

This has been a nice change.

I am in Austin area as well. Which dealership did you purchase from? Good experience? Thanks and congrats!

My sales guy called me this morning and let me know that my allocation went into production status Dec 1 which was a surprise as it was supposed to be a Jan production car. I didn't have a chance to give them my specific build yet; was planning to meet the sales guy on Monday and go over the specs. Luckily, the spec in production is nearly identical to what I would have picked. Black w/ 6 speed manual which are my two non-negotiable options. The only items not exactly the same are the carbon interior trim (i like the anthracite better) and this one will have the M color accents on the seat sides which I was 50/50 on.

They said I should have the car by the end of January which is when my bday is. The car gods must be real???

Any one been stuck in RFT? I've been at code 165 since 11/6/2023 and Genius and my CA have been of no help. I see a couple people in this thread have had similar prod/RFT dates and some have gotten their cars or at least having shipping info/eta.

I have a track event at Laguna for new years and am praying I'll be able to get the car and break it in before the Laguna Seca event :/

Same situation for me as well. RFT for 3 weeks now. I suspect they are filling up the boat for West coast bound. I live in the Bay area. Someone said in another thread that there is a ship arriving at the port to load up west-coast bound cars on 12/1.

Tracker showing Final Assembly but F12 trick is showing me status 160, is that 'normal'? Production date 11/30.

After going through the motions myself, the tracker is a thumbnail in the sky for most statuses except RFT and At Port. For example, my tracker still says the car is at the dealership, but it's in my garage.

FWIW, this chrome extension makes the F12 trick just a mouse click: https://chromewebstore.google.com/de...gcjajoeodfpfon
