Oh duh! I don't know if UK cars follow the same pattern, but I could be wrong. I'm sure one of the more informed members could confirm if a week 27 build means it's a 2024 model year car.

My other Bmw vehicle went to build July 22 with delivery October 22 it’s a 2023 model, I think anything with a delivery after sept 2023 might be classed as 2024

I think anything produced in July is the next model year. My July 2022 built M4 is MY23.

When its registered is irrelevant as the Model Year depends what options are included or changed from the previous model year.

In the case of my M4, they removed a lot of stuff to reduce costs, LOL.

I had another great experience this morning. I got excited as I was informed that my car had left Southampton but when I checked 5 mins later it appears that I was fed incorrect information!

I tried to log a complaint with BMW HQ today and oh what fun that was. All they could offer was to call my dealer and I said that the dealer was not the issue but the lack of information/transparency was the problem. Just went round and round in circles as the complaints handler had no other sources of information or avenues that they could pursue.

I feel your pain, i spent several weeks speaking with customer services and every time you call and speak to someone else you get told a different story, the whole Bmw process and managing customers is shocking experience, it really has put me off buying bm in the near future, dealerships are just as bad due to the lack of comms my dealer missed out on me spending £11k on the m-performance kit, oh well they probably did me a favour.

Whilst my car is still on hold for the air bag software technical campaign when I checked in this morning the chat told me that they could see that a transporter had been allocated..... (But he failed to mention it was Santa Claus delivery services!)

😂 I’m not sure about that chat service but head of sales at the dealership has stated no change still at sea. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Let's hope Southampton can cope with another influx of cars as the signs aren't looking good at the moment.

Might be of interest to someone, I’ve been allocated a GT4RS due to a cancelled order today and would be stupid to turn it down.

So I’m going to list my m2, it’s not even a week old, Brooklyn grey, red calipers, m2 exclusive interior - comfort pack - adaptive cruise pack - it’s done 34 miles.

Dealer has said they will give me £67k, I’ve seen already they selling for £5k-£10k over retail because they can’t even get a demo car now however I would rather sell it to a private buyer.

No finance owed, list is £66720

£67500 anyone ?

Hi,

Would you be willing to take £64k? I’m a cash buyer, currently have a car on order, but I’d be willing to cancel if we could agree on a sale.

Thanks!

The wait will be worth it, in the flesh it’s stunning and looks brutal, even from the drivers seat when you look in the door mirror the wide hips look huge.

Yeah I know, it's just the feeling of wanting it sooner that I'm giving in. My spec is really nice IMO, so anything else I get would be a case of settling. I know for a fact after the newness goes away, I would feel some regret of not waiting for my own combo.

I've gone for Toronto Red with Cognac, black wheels and red calipers.

How long will you need to wait for your GT4RS to arrive? That's a hell of a car!
