I sure hope so. The more ships the better chance we'll get our cars sooner.

I hope so as well, but I'd hate to get my hopes up for no reason. The only confirmed shipping line I've found (that has a website) is Sallaum. They have a ship getting close to Veracruz. Follow the 'Glovis Symphony' if you want some breadcrumbs. I have high hopes this will be the next ship to pick up our cars.

Looks like it's leaving Brunswick and head back south to Freeport. Thanks! Fingers crossed that's it's headed back to Veracruz in the next week or so.

Sallaum states it's due to head back up the east coast the first week of December. It came down the east coast so it has to stop somewhere to pick up cargo. Let's all hope that's Veracruz!!

The status codes are definitely more specific and useful than the status menu.

I was at 155 yesterday "final assembly", now we're up to 160.

Might get the car before the end of the year??? That'd be wild.

emcee...I'm getting unconfirmed updates that the vehicle carrier Silver Ray, will leave Mexico's Altamira port and head over to Veracruz before coming over to the U.S. East Coast...can you confirm?

btw The Silver Ray is managed by Hyundai Glovis, which does in fact pick up and deliver for BMW

You are correct about it going to Veracruz. Other than that I cannot find a public schedule for the ship. If we get on that ship it saves us about a week or so before Symphony shows up!

160 is "released for distribution", so I think that just means... car is done, and waiting to get corralled into another area before getting sent to port?

The Brunswick, GA port's website shows they are expecting the Silver Ray to arrive 11/23.

Yep. I saw that a couple days ago actually

But up until today there was no indication that it would stop at Veracruz beforehand. Now it looks like it will. All I can do now is hope my car gets on that ship.

Took ownership yesterday. I still cannot believe I finally actually own this car! It was snowing yesterday, but it was still a blast to drive, even while keeping it under 4000 RPM. It is indeed worth the wait and every $ spent. Timeline below.
