It was named best new restaurant in the US a few years ago when it opened. The type of place you go in, 10 course meal, you eat what they serve and get a wine pairing as well. She was like, "You should do it. You never do anything for yourself." But then I was like, "Do I really want to spend ~$280 for one meal by myself?" |

First 4 episodes of Bosch Legacy down, so far so good. Sticking with the formula/style that worked for the original Bosch series.

The intro to Strange New Worlds: the front of the nacelle is just so cool. Retro in that it's some sort of rotating fins, yet warp speed

Anyone watching Shining Girls? It's alright atm but a tad slow, was gonna give up but they added a twist in there so I'm sticking for a few more episodes.

Finished (edit: 6 episodes of) Bosch Legacy and they were good. Wish there were no commercials but not that big of a deal.
Started Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix and so far, so good.

So, so, so bizarre! I watched maybe 3 episodes and stopped. I'm not sure if I'll watch the rest. Thoughts?

It's not like Breaking Bad, BCS, Ozark, or other eminently rewatchable shows, but I thought it was worth one watch through. There are only 6 episodes, so you're already half way through. |

Wife and I started The Staircase last night. Never saw the documentary, but the HBO dramatization is really good and interesting so far, the case itself is so complex and bizarre. Excellent cast too, Colin Firth and Toni Collette are fantastic as always.

Toni Collette has been busy lately. This is what, the third recent series for her?

So normally I don’t have much against how TV shows are filmed and displayed on TV, but I have a bone to pick with “The Lincoln Lawyer” show on Netflix. While I get it’s supposed to be more dramatic and such, BUT DOES EVERYTHING NEED TO BE SO FCKING DARK?!?! Seriously, their law office is like it’s being lit by a single candle. Same thing in the car. Even in broad daylight everything is super dark. Before anyone says it’s my TV, I closed the curtains and even at night with nothing but the TV lights on, it’s just simply dark. Why do producers/directors feel the need to make it so difficult to see/watch is beyond me. Watch the show and you’ll know what I’m talking about. “Suits” on USA is so bright and open.
