I think I get the picture with the word “erratic”. There is supposed to be a system level bug right now about something really similar to what you describe. I’m actually hoping it’s the same thing. If so, bad news is that it’s out of my hands, but good news it’s a bug being actively worked on and when it’s fixed (it looks like within days) I will package it into a new version and shoot it out 👍

Cool, I’m sure it’ll get fixed, it was fine before, so I know it’s just a code issue. Thanks for working to resolve it.

Hi! iPhone app. Appreciate button I can't tell if I already appreciated or not. So when I tap I have to wait for the number to go up or down, and if it goes down, tap again to have it go back up again. Maybe some indication if already appreciated a post? Sometimes I can't remember if I already did or not.

If you tap the number, not the word, it’ll show you.

Interesting. Let me think of a way to indicate that without cluttering that area. Good idea

My Apple Magic Keyboard issue seems to be resolved, but here’s a new one. Message notification indicator doesn’t seem to want to go away despite there being no messages. Force quitting the app does not solve this.

Oh wow that’s great news on the keyboard.
As for the notifications it’s something I’m working on as we speak. Question if you do a pull to refresh on that screen does it go to 0?

Ok, and do you remember what you did to make the notifications go to 0 from 2? For example, did you swipe to delete them, or did you tape the delete all button or did they go away on their own after time?

I had two notifications, I swiped to try an delete them, they went away, but the bottom indicator still showed 2. Then, when you replied, it changed to 1, I swiped that one away, but the indicator still shows 1 message.

Just a note that I’m also experiencing this issue. I’ve even tapped the “Mark all as read” option many times, to no avail. All the items in the Notifications list are marked as read, but there’s still a “1” badge on the Notifications tab at the bottom.

Can you try the latest app version 6.5.4 which was released today and let me know if its still happening?

Just downloaded 6.5.4 and gave it a try. The problem still exists.

Prior to updating to 6.5.4, I had the phantom Notifications badge. After updating to 6.5.4, the app showed that I had two unread notifications — an accurate count. I marked one as read and the count went down to one. I marked the second one as read and the badge disappeared briefly and then reappeared with a “1”.

This is on an iPhone 13 mini running iOS 17.5.1.

UPDATE: After a few rounds of getting notifications and reading them, the issue appears to be resolved in 6.5.4 after all! After having gone through a couple rounds of notifications, the phantom “1” badge on the Notifications tab has disappeared.

Ok I think I found the issue and just fixed it a minute ago. Try pressing “delete all” now to reset it

This is true, I had to make a slight adjustment. This will be working again in version 6.5.7 out today soon hopefully

6.5.8 seems to have fixed it, with one exception.. this thread. Every time I refresh the subscription feed, it shows this one as unread.


Edit; of course, this comment seems to have resolved it. lol
