Frankie Avalon sang at the EM Club in Babenhausen, Germany, shortly after I was ordered to Vietnam. One of my buddies still there made it a point to shake Avalon's hand after his performance. My buddy told me later, "I wanted to touch the hand that had touched Annette." Heh!

I took my wife to her dentist appointment last week. The staff had a country western station tuned in, and it was a bit louder than necessary. Also, the dentist was running almost one hour late, so I had to put up with that crap for quite a long time. It all sounds the same to me - some dude crying out a sad tune about losing his dog, his truck, his girlfriend, his job, etc.
