Anyone else think 3D printing companies will become huge in the next several years? I think DDD will become the new Apple. I would love to buy DDD/VJET for a long term hold but it's just too risky right now with the overall market being as it is.

Guys, if you want to make a lot of money trust me on this advice...once the bear is established, pick an amount you are willing to gamble with buy the "short" etf's such as TVIX, TZA, SPXU, etc....the key is the hold them for awhile...when VIX gets about 20 again these inverse ETF's will be swinging 10-20% a day and you have to be able to ride of the emotional ups and downs...but over the span of 6-12 months, you will have huge gains...I am predicting these inverse etfs will run up at least 300-500%.

But the key is the wait until the bear actually starts(obviously this will take some skill)...other thing is this, do not put up a huge part of your entire portfolio for these short bets cause the volatility will be too great to withstand...pick an amount you are willing to gamble with cause you have to be able to withstand huge swings on daily basis.

I once held 6 figure SPY puts only a month out from expiration and it was swinging 20-50% a day in 08' and I couldn't eat my lunch without vomiting!....

google delta charts...didnt mean SWAP charts, meant VWAP charts.....

But imho, odds better to ride longer term trends(like being bullish now) ...charts that look at volume and hidden underlying buying/selling only useful for short term traders and if you trade short term, odds are against you....they say 90% of active short term traders lose money....these numbers don't seem to change over time, think about that one.

So how about VIX futures? They're down like 60% to $5.xx on significant volume. It's strange because the market's not even open but these things have capitulated. Is a parabolic move in the market coming? A break above 2000 on SPX is 100% certain to come on Monday, will we see 2100 by end of the week?

AAPL is doing pretty well this morning. I also bought a small long position on ZGNX based on some of the news that was coming out. Based on what I"m seeing today, I don't know if that was a good pick up.
