I prefer to call rather than email. They've got 1000's of emails to go through over the course of a week vs someone on the phone literally pulling up your account with you at the same time.

My CA said my car was on the Lyra Leader but from my limited research, isn't the Lyra Leader used for transporting cars to the US from Germany which makes no sense since this is built in Mexico.

Ask your CA to send you a screenshot of the status page. My CA sent me a screenshot of his computer screen showing me exactly what ship I was on.

Could be should be good news

I don’t see how all of our cars are not on there. We waited about the normal time at ready for transport. So I expect an update to the tracking app in next few days.

There I told them !

Welp, I've finally laid eyes on my car at the dealership. It's not ready for pickup yet, but they let me go to the back and see it while it was getting detailed. So, time for me to post the timeline in hopes that it will help others get an idea of what they can expect:

May 28 - placed a custom built order at dealer with $1000 deposit
Jun 7 - order accepted / production number issued
Jul 26 - allocation confirmed / scheduled for week 36 production
Sep 7 - production delayed; pushed back to week 44
Nov 1 - production begins / VIN assigned...the steps after this went pretty fast over the next four days; exterior body assembly, in the paint booth, entering assembly line, assembly in progress, quality check, final assembly
Nov 5 - ready for transport
Nov 29 - awaiting carrier assignment, then in transit / confirmed to be on the vehicle carrier Glovis Symphony
Dec 7 - at the port (of Brunswick, GA)
Dec 9 - in transit to the dealership (in Atlanta, GA)
Dec 10 - at the dealership
Dec 12 - estimated ready for pickup

What a crazy wait.

Also in GA, car is currently in Ready For Transport. By chance, did you go through global imports?

Went through United BMW. United happen to be a little closer to where I live than Global.

Still “at port” (Galveston, Tx) since Nov 29th. This sucks because it’s only a 4 hour drive from the dealership and it missed expected delivery date by a week now. Genius and my SA both say it could be because they are waiting for the delivery truck to be filled with cars or waiting for a driver. I feel like it’s not that many cars on those trucks like 8-10 maximum, and it shouldn’t be that difficult to get enough cars for 1 truck. It’s looking more like there isn’t a driver available or something. I wish I could just go and get it from the port.

Have you called BMW Genius or checked your VIN for any recalls to see what the holdup might be?

My dealership is about 4-5 hours away from the port as well. I don’t know about filling up trucks but check your VIN for recalls to rule that out. Also, my status did show “at the port” even though I was told by a genius that it was on the truck in transit. It changed to “in transit” after I already found out it was on the way. Had my car not been in transit my next move would’ve been to ask what trucking company is likely to pick up the car. Then I would’ve tried to look up the schedule for that company.

I've been watching this forum for months and finally decided to join. Ordered my M240i Jan 15th but didnt get an allocation until July 18th which converted me to a 2023. Car was built Oct 26th and arrived in Brunswick last week. The tracker switched from At The Port to In Transit so I'm assuming its on a truck and on its way!

Me! I’ve been stuck at “ready for transport” since 11/17. My CA told me yesterday my care boarded the Lyra Leader yesterday but that doesn’t make any sense because I thought that vessel delivered cars produced in Europe.

The thing is that it's already loaded onto a delivery truck. My SA sent me a screenshot of the VPC work order completed on the 28th, and it has been released to the carrier the same day. I've looked up the delivery company, but there's not much information. Just gonna have to hope it comes in soon.

Its been rough...

Pretty sure my initial CA screwed something up. A few months into the wait he "no longer worked for them" and my allocation appeared soon after I was assigned a new CA that has been MUCH more helpful.
