If I don't have the time or patience for a contact cleaning, I've been using Sonax Beast and then just spraying the wheels down afterwards. It does a great job. I'm going to try foaming applications to see how that does and if it helps save product. Pix are before, after water rinse (hose, not PW), Beast application, then after rinsing off the cleaner. It rained a little earlier in the week so they aren't as bad as usual but there is a little streaking from the rain runoff. By the time I'm done spraying down the 4th wheel, it's time to rinse the 1st. Not perfect, as you can see a spot where product didn't stick/clean (which was easily resolved during towel drying) but I'm very happy w0 the result for the effort. Might try Griots' heavy wheel cleaner as it is a little more economical.

Griot's HD wheel cleaner is fantastic. Meg's ultimate, sonax also great. Haven't tried ethos or adam's. Would assume they're pretty similar with that iron removing chemistry.
That said, some areas may require light agitation. With no agitation or sponge or anything, there still is the faintest film of brake dust left behind. The wheel looks perfectly clean from 2 feet away, but I can get it perfectly clean by wiping the wheel with a mf applicator (auto-fiber).

If you can eliminate most of the brake dust, then you're in a great spot to begin with. And wheel cleaning isn't such as chore. And that is why I use carbon ceramic brake pads. Very light minimal brake dust.
For comparison, a couple weeks for me, is equivalent to two days for you. And if you wiped your finger on your wheels, it is black in comparison to mine, which is dusty. I typically use Black Magic Bleche-Wite Tire Cleaner Spray or Sonax Wheel Cleaner on my wheels. I don't want something that is too aggressive, since my wheels are coated.
