One more question - Was there any testing with stock sound vs Dinan when cruising at highways speeds with valves shut? Looking for something that would be similar stock with no drone when cruising.
Can be done DIY but there is cutting at the factory dimples (just like MPE) and I would highly reccommend having another set of hands when doing final tightening as its being held into the position you want.

As far as drone goes, there is no drone with valves closed and cruising to my ears. That said, sound sensitivity varies dramatically from person to person. We have an engineer that is ridiculously sensitive to sound and complains of drone on even most factory systems as an example.

I have been eMailing back and forth with EAS and they should be placing an order for the exhaust shortly.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Looks and sounds great, also like how the pipes don’t hang down like the Miltek system. I’m lowered so clearence is a consideration.

Does this system retain the factory OPF’s? Does the car in the video have OPF’s?

Is there adjustability in the fitting to position the tips flush with the diffuser?

Just placed an order for the exhaust. It says it’s on back order but also says it’ll ship Monday 07/24? Just wondering if it will ship?

Dinan_Engineering Are there any discounts available to alleviate the high shipping cost? I would like to purchase ASAP.

Never been fitted to a car with OPF's (not something we deal with in the US) so I could not give an absolutely definitive answer on fitment. However, given its an axle-back and OPF's are typically present in front of the factory cut point it would likely mate up. If you have a Euro VIN you wanted to share I can do a bit more digging to see if that holds true on this specifric model but I would be shocked if it didn't.

And yes, the tips can be adjusted to be a bit more flush. The range however is very limited on the outward tips specifically as the pipe bend happen pretty close to the exit given space constraints.

Plenty in stock. Should ship today unless its a ship complete order with something else that is not in stock.

There is not. Outside of the holiday sale every year (Black Friday thru X-Mas) Dinan has not offered any discounting/codes/sales for probably about 5 years now. The idea is that we offer our best price at all times so sales/discounts are not needed/applicable and we do not become a slave to their cyclical nature of them. The price is the price as it were.

Don't offer international shipping direct from the factory unfortunately. You would want to order through your countries importer, through any number of online etailers that carry the line and ship internationally or even from some of the forum vendors here that do the same.

Dinan_Engineering With the valves closed, is it much louder than the stock exhaust with the valves closed? Also, how much louder would you say are cold starts with the valves closed compared to stock with the valves closed?

No, I’ll leave it to the pros. Being in a wheelchair and having no access to a lift made my decision simple. I’ll def record all of the goodies - cold start, warm start, valves open, closed, overruns, downshifts. #GotchuFam

I personally find all late model BMW cold starts obnoxious (stock included). The M240i is no exception and the intial phase of cold start (first 15 seconds or so) is not a sound I consider pleasant. Swapped to the Dinan kit it's definitely louder just by virtue of being a deeper tone but if I had to put a percentage on it I would say its only 10% louder. Not a monumental difference in that specific scenario.

I ordered, can't wait for it to arrive. I've been waiting since your very first IG teaser last year.

Looking forward to some early adopter impressions! My G42 is due to be delivered in September. The Dinan or the MPE is what I am aiming for.

Thank you. I am actually frequently in KCMO (assuming I read your username right). Hence, maybe even an opportunity to hear it live! I pay for the coffee or alternative drink!

Turns out Holley flagged my order for suspected fraud and cancelled it. I had to reorder mine. Pretty bummed, I was hoping to get it installed this weekend as my next few weekends are booked.
