I’m pretty sure it’s BS , i believe after swapping headlights you need to code them in , That shop i mentioned is in LA also

Keep me posted when you do yours brotha and see how it goes. I was even thinking of buying a set from a used M240i and doing the swap but wanted to see if someone has done that before or if companies are going to come out with new headlights

So i just got the passenger side i got a M2 headlight to there is a black trim that i need to remove or else it won’t fit you can see it in the picture, once i remove the ones in my car im gonna see if i can just remove that trim and install them

I'm very interested in this as well. I ordered my car with the poverty headlights because I didn't care about the adaptive headlight stuff.

But the upgraded DRLs look so good, compared to the little light strip that come with the non-upgraded headlights

So update those headlight are for M2 so had to return them lol , need to wait untill i find a m240I one the shop thought it was interchangeable but they are different bumper design

I just saw my headlights the base model have that black trim that you want to take off because the m240i doesn’t have the black trim so that makes no sense 😅

Because the M240i doesn’t have the black piece you talking about it’s one big headlight and the base model headlights for the M2 have it so idk why the upgraded ones didn’t fit if they have that black piece as well. Thats where I’m confused 😅
