I've never had a production number in the UK, usually when it goes into production you get a web link to track progress.

I am in the UK, order status 111 and have a production number. Last I heard (3 weeks ago) I am looking at a build date of end of July and delivery early October. If that has moved forwards as per other posts I would be very happy, but have not had any communications of a change

If you have an AG production number, you can quote it to the people manning the chat window on the BMW UK site, and they’ll tell you. Good luck!

Yes, you can track online in the U.S. It is not fully accurate though. You can also call the BMW toll-free and via the automated service request “vehicle production status.” It will ask you to provide your production number, and then it will provide the vehicle production status.

The most up-to-date, and generally fairly accurate is via your client advisor pulling a VIR. Do not be a constant PITA harassing he/she for one though.

Yes, I know we can track in the US, but didn't k ow if same was for UK.

For my M240, my CA and SM both sent me constant updates (plus I can get from my friend who works for BMWNA). Also, nothing for nothing but the wesite was pretty damn accurate for me when I checked it.

The online tracker tends to be hit or miss and more miss from what I have been told. A recent customer’s build stated that it was on the way to the store when in fact it had been on the ground for several days. This customer was aboard at the time so it did not matter.

Just did this, very helpful. Confirmed my build date of w/c 5th June and invited me to contact them weekly for updates as things can change quickly in the system.

I’m first on my dealer’s list (Bulgaria).
I ordered it in December. The dealership had already two allocations for production in March, so they just altered the specification according to my configuration. Stated delivery in the contract - end of April, but I doubt it…

After resisting for almost 24 hours, I spoke with the BMW online chat. Looks like my build date has moved forwards by 7 days. I’m sure it will change again between now and July. It’s a bit early to start tracking this daily, but looks like I’m on the slippery slope….

I ordered in the first week of November and my delivery date is also the first week in November! A year for a car that’s not hand built I’d taking the p. I’m assuming the chip shortage isn’t still the cause of the issue.
