Gloss gunmetal would be sweet! I approve

Any rubbing against the fender liners? Wondering if I should go 20s for all four wheels or stick with the 19/20 stagger that BMW has from factory

Just ordered SL-As, similar to RCouchh's - 19x9.5, 20x11, brushed clear. Will be good for a Spring cleanup! Andy was great to talk to.

I understand there are different features and sizes, but I'm generally cautious about vendors who appear secretive with pricing. I can go to Apex's website, select the various sizes/offsets/finishes, see the price in my cart.
I want to be able to take a look, see pricing options, etc. without having to contact the vendor, send an inquiry, go back and forth with specs, etc. But that's just me.

Base price is available on the website. Monos generally start at $700 and go up depending on size/width/maybe finish(I don't know about the last one) but its pretty self explanatory. From there you just ask for a quote on the size/width you want and say either yes/no. Rather than listing all of the available sizes (and when you custom mill out of monoblocks theres...a lot) its easier to just set the base prize.
Ex: 18x8, 18x9, 18x10, 18x10.5 18x11, etc...etc...etc... for the entire range of monoblocks they offer. I get what you're saying but in this case its not that its hidden, its just the base price is listed and it goes up from there because of the near endless size options (which is awesome) as well as offsets that can be changed.

Hey it's Andy with VTForged. We have "starting at" prices because the prices depend on specs, with various widths costing extra, and infinite options available like 3-piece carbon caps, colorfill engravings, completely custom engravings, etc.

Some things cost more, some don't, some will take us a lot longer to make/do and some are no problem.

I don't want to have a "set in stone" price as that's asking for a choke hold - meaning somebody comes to us saying "hey it says $xxx online, why is it $xxxx now", or maybe down the line our prices go up and somebody quotes an old price listed, etc etc. Just too many issues with setting a price and then customers not being happy when something is different from what they "saw online" if that makes sense.

Other companies have their set fitments, with no customization options and that's great for a "quick order" solution, but we are completely custom and bespoke, every single wheel we make is made to order, just for you. No "off the shelf" options here.

Like I said I understand there are many features that contribute to the overall price. But "starting at $800" really tells me nothing. That 18x8 silver finish may be $800, but a 19x9.5 gloss black finish is $1,200 & 20x10 is $1,400. Now instead of $3,200 for a set I'm looking at $5,200.

I've easily purchased over 20 sets of aftermarket wheels for my vehicles over the years (yes I have a problem ). It doesn't seem as if it would be difficult to list prices for each size and finish & then say for more custom specs contact us. It also seemed odd that nobody in this thread posted their specs and what they paid. That made me think the prices needed to be kept secret.

I got 19x10et12 front and 19x11et8 rear with 3 piece carbon center caps with a frozen brushed gunmetal finish. My price per wheel was not much more than the "starting" prices. I don't go around telling people how much I paid for stuff but it was about $100 more per wheel. Then the center caps were an additional option that I added (there are laser and milled center cap options as well). I've gone back and forth with Andy many times and he quoted me on many different ideas (all basically the same price) and it was quick and very helpful. All this being said, I don't think its weird no one listed how much they cost, I'm not sure people make a habit of going around saying I just got XYZ for my car for $XXXX. but thats just me

Andy is great to communicate with and quick to respond to any inquiry. While $800 is the starting price for the AL-Ss in 18", my 19x9.5/20x11" set were only $850 ea. He operates on a custom order basis so there are numerous options which makes it difficult to have a concise price list.

Agreed. My understanding is that VT Forged wheels are built to order according to customer specification rather than prefabricating wheels and trying to fit them to customer application. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I just picked up my M2 a few days ago and just placed an order with Andy yesterday. Super nice guy and only took a few minutes to go over everything and answer all of my questions. He emailed me a quote within minutes.

This is a car forum and the wheels sub-forum, why wouldn't people post what specs they have, cost, etc.? We all drive the same vehicle and know how much it costs. Now we're bashful about the price of modifications? If this were just a post your pictures forum, that might make some sense, but we're literally all posting about modifications/accessories to our vehicles. No different than the exterior mods or interior mods sub-forum. I'm all about finding the best deals on parts & accessories, and that generally comes from others posting about their mods, prices, best vendors, etc.

That said, I'll shoot Andy an email and inquire about some wheels.
