I LOVE the fact that you carried over the old man factor in your mods. The thing that drew me to this model was the fact that I could take my daughter to school, drive my wife around, not annoy the neighborhood but then have the ability to put it in rage mode when needed. I’m going to be working on a budget (wife restricted!) and was wondering in what order you’d add mods. It sounds like JB4, intake, downpipe, exhaust but I’d like your opinions.
Great build! |

This car is perfect. Would much prefer this over an M2 which is too much for me where I live if it were not for the automatic trans.

Love it! Haha, I know. I feel the same at the moment. Hopefully the M is a grower... Quote:

If you're doing them all at the same time, then you're right. If there is going to be an extended length of time between lowering springs and new wheels, I'd recommend spacers in the interim. Spacers are a relatively in-expensive mod and are always of value on the used market.

Update - Front Splitter Development
So we've been working hard on development for the G42 and one of the things I've wanted for my car is a splitter without the winglets. I do like them, I just envisioned this car working well without them.
Fast-forward, we rendered this to the car. We liked it. Using CAD data, we transformed this into a real-life product. The sample was 3D-printed and test fitted on our car. Mounted using all OEM fixings + 3M VHB or Bonding. I liked the 3D printed sample so much, I rattle-canned it in Satin Black. Think it looks mega on the car as-is. Suits the satin-black wrap. Not sure I'd have it this colour otherwise because it scuffs and marks. Our finalised carbon fibre version will be launching within the next 4-6 weeks but wanted to give you guys the inside scoop. What do you think?

Thanks bud. Can't wait for it to be finished and launched.
Will be done in CF within a week or two.

Will consider down the road but carbon fibre is the focus for the foreseeable.

Wow! Really changes the look of the front end... instead of kinda flat faced, having the splitter stick out more and even add subtle lines/angles to extend the lines of the front clip gives it a little more dimension.
I like it without the winglet myself. It will probably add a bit of real downforce eh?? If so, will the mounting points handle it? With that new spoiler in developement, I'd say you have an awesome body kit for the M240i. Haven't seen anyone else do more than you guys on this front and very clean design. |
