Also #1 at my dealer. Looking at a highly-spec'd M2 but if the interior is only black, that would be a step in the wrong direction...

Cross shopping:
Emira
CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing

Can someone explain to me what is the appeal for a cadillac blackwing? Genuine question, I’m clueless about those cars.

C7 GS or Z06 - will buy if prices fall back to pre covid

GT350

Supra

Was also looking at the rs3 but decided to pass. Don't need 4 doors as I have a maxima for DD.

C7 is so enticing with the targa top and exhaust note. I'm really battling not picking up a grand sport before the g87 enters production.

I'm 3rd in line at my dealer for the g87

#3 on G87 list.

That would be my 8th BMW and 7th M since 1996.

Cross-shopping CT4V-Blackwing Track Edition (which comes out this fall). I'm impressed by what Cadillac has done with that car! I've driven the 2022, and it's really, really good.

But ... as long as the G87 takes the M2 to the next level, I'd be hard pressed not to go with it. 6MT with carbon roof.

#2 on the G87 list at my local dealership, will be my third M2 (after having the OG and Comp of the F87 gen).

Also cross shopping the Emira and GT4. Obviously the GT4 is in a higher cost bracket; but if the market cools down more and they start going for MSRP, then I'd be into it pending the performance figures of the G87 of course.

I have deposits down currently on:

G80 Manual
G87 when able to put deposit down with local dealer will do
Lotus Emira Manual
911 992 S Manual

All refundable deposits at MSRP but long waits still ahead... Only getting one car but still undecided and have time to ponder.

Out of those four I would select the 992 C2S. My own build is just over $150k though, making the G87 an absolute bargain if it lives up to what we all hope it to be.

No cross shopping for me. Going to keep the Blackwing until spring of 2024 so about another 1.5 years. Then I plan on moving into a manual M2. If by some very low chance the used market softens enough to get a lightly used 718 4.0 for 80k then so be it. I highly doubt that'll happen though.

That is what I am waiting and hoping for…718 Cayman 4.0.

I always thought that my next one would be a 718, but after driving my M2 for 2.5 years I am definitely getting a G87. I am gonna get the LCI version, so things could change in the meantime, but I'l like both the F87 and G87 next to each other in the garage

Anyone considering the Jaguar F-Type R? I like the styling of that car (the prior gen more), but that power and sound is pretty sweet.

Great sound, awesome engine, but I've driven them and they're a whole different type of car. Heavier, and no manual transmission.

Great sound, awesome engine, but I've driven them and they're a whole different type of car. Heavier, not really as nimble, and no manual transmission.

Yeah, I heard that they are heavy. They do look sweet though.

Actually I'm likely buying a 4 door… M340i, M3, or even maybe a M550i, but I am strongly considering an M2. As much as I want to; I just don't think I can get away with such a small car. We'll see if I fall in love.

Yeah. The M3 is tempting…

Go take a test drive and you'll see why. The CT4-V Blackwing in particular is a great handler! The CT5-V BW is a monster, but it's also monstrously expensive.
