Going ZB with Cognac seats, it's a hair funky and has character.
Carbon on the inside to get rid of that shiny metal on the steering wheel
6MT
Red Calipers, Black wheels
Sun roof, this'll be a DD and windows are down if it's not raining, you know?
Heated steering (it gets cold with the windows down)
Lighting and HUD, no shadowline since I want the gold accents in the lights (I have a shell dream of 1000M wheels in the frozen bronze/ gold looking good with ZB, but who knows)

I completely changed my spec after seeing ZB and this is it but I now have bi-color wheels. I'm still switching between sunroof and carbon roof though.

What about seeing ZB in person changed your mind favorably? Curious to hear specifics, if you can elaborate. I may not have the luxury of physically coming across a ZB demo car before my CA calls me up with an allocation and so I would love to hear your positive experience.

Sure:
- launch color should try to take precedent generally speaking - designer's intent if you will
- it was very rich in daylight with a bit of shade - really popped
- day time bright light wasn't nearly as faded as folks have discussed
- the 50th badges look particularly good with it
- brake caliper choice is easy - red
- the color is actually quite versatile if you see the contrast between day and night, and no light vs bright light - it offers something at all times
- it's a bit teenage-erish right? I mean the car is meant to be fun, and I don't love TR I had specced, it was just a "safe" choice
- honestly, as soon as I saw it, I was like, if I'm being honest and don't care what others think, I want it
- wife texted me and said, we already have a red car, we don't need two
- m highlight seats are back in play if I want, whereas with TR they're absolutely not
- it allowed me to see where dirt builds up and I actually like that because it shows airflow like a race car after running all day
- it's solid - shouldn't be hard to touch up
- lastly and most importantly, it somehow shows all the lines but because it's bright it actually hides glare - yet somehow has a nice gloss - opposite of BSM and TR which can seem to blind you if the sun points in your face

Awesome! Really appreciate this and I am sure others in the same position will too

Needless to say - I am sticking with ZB.

Mine (eventually) will be:

- ZB Blue: I love the colour and it reminds me of Meissen Blue.
- Sunroof: Not a track car, and I love open air and light into the cabin.
- M-highlight seats: I love the carbon buckets’ looks, but this will be a daily for me.
- Black wheels

Transmission will be an incredibly tough decision for me. If my order went in today, I would choose manual.

M highlight seats - not many options to choose from but these are the most unique.

6 speed - would not be looking at this car if it weren’t an option.

Black wheels - already have a set of black 826m wheels waiting to get thrown on the car. The 930m style is disappointing. The stockies will likely serve as a winter wheel.

Shadowline/Lighting - going for the black/gray theme so these are no question.

HUD - still on the fence with this one but leaning towards getting it. Steep price but it does give the car a more premium feel and is useful at times.

CF roof - first M car deserves the beautiful roof. Also looks great against gray.

CF Trim - another no brainer. Love me some CF.

Red calipers - love the aggressive contrast.
We're literally ordering the same exact car. Although I'm still on the fence about blue or red calipers... Can't wait to see it!

Been toying with the idea of the carbon pack for a few days after sitting in one. I think I've decided that since it's not a daily, I should go full hog. The only drawback is potentially wrapping the roof and M performance rear spoiler. I'm not a fan of the grey of the carbon roof, unless paired with grey wheels.

Having a difficult time with wheel selection but taking inspiration from the 917k Porsche and thinking bronze or grey will be fine.

Hard to argue with maximum spec/lightness.

Color. Considering all except BG
TR seems the most sport color
ZB don't see a lot but would like a metallic and darker blue
AW/BS Star Wars theme possible

Carbon Package
I want the carbon interior and roof.
I like the seats as it gives a racer feel. I plan on getting a daily and long trip that has more room and better gas milage so the comfort factor isn't an issue.
Lighting Package
A must
Shadowline Package
Depends on the color
M Compound Brakes with Red Calipers
Depends on the color
Manual transmission
Must have
Heated Steering Wheel
Why not for $200
Parking Assistant
Also why not for $200
Live Cockpit Pro with Head-up Display
Most people who have it love it
HAS Kit
Might as well get it from factory installed for free. Seems it would look perfect with a slight drop

On the G80 forum someone had the kit port installed and paid 3k for the kit plus installation. Definitely not "free".

The 930m wheels come in black? I can only find frozen grey.

I'm actually considering going the extra step and getting the cf package.... The roof is growing on me, and the frozen grey wheels would then be an option. I can just think of so many other things I can do with 10k.

Edit: I was thinking 963 wheels.... Was not thinking clearly.

No because there's no metallic shine. It will just be a flat matte fluorescent color.

FYI, ZB is a uni paint. Non-Metallic. There is zero flake in ZB.

Wish BG was nonmetallic, too. The size of the flake is extremely small so you dont have a lot of flash/sparkle but in good sun or under the right angle of lighting, you can see the creamy metallic finish.

I dislike BG. I have seen multiple clients renege and re-order once their BG vehicle has arrived.
