I just got an update from my dealer—they only have one person on their waiting list, so I can place a deposit and be #2. Now, my dilemma is whether to go for that or opt for a G80 M3CX instead with the options I want. Since I live in Michigan, the M3CX would be nice for winter driving. On the other hand, I could go with the CS and just use my reliable Camry on the really snowy days. Either way, both options will cost around $95,000....I hope.
Anyone have insight on what the cost of the CS will be? |

I stated in a different but similar thread about the CS/CSL version of the M2 to buy it used. They are still sitting around M4 and M3 version or big discounts on slightly used models. |

There will always be cars available, people just have to be patience & get rid of the "I need it now" "or "I'm the first to have one" mentality. I wanted an Inferno Orange Metallic Carbon Edition Z06 as soon as I saw it announced in 2010. Didn't want to & wasn't really in the position to pay the $100k price tag at the time ($100,095 to be exact), but kept it on my wish list & looked for one periodically. Only 85 were made total, one year only car, individual numbered VIN, etc. Fast forward to 2020, and I came across not only an IOM Carbon Edition Z06, but one that had been sent to Callaway Cars who is a licensed performance partner of GM, and Callaway Corvettes, Camaros, Escalades, etc. are sold through select GM dealerships, carry fully warranty. Contacted Callaway and they verified the car was authentic, that only 3 Carbons had been made with their pkg. Original MSRP was $125,350 & I picked it up for $58k. I now regularly receive 6-figure offers to purchase the vehicle. Long story long, patience generally works out. But if you have to be first on your block to have something, by all means throw down a big deposit, be "#1" on the list, pay an ADM.

I don’t know about in the US, but over here in the UK, the M3CS was fairly available right from the go, and currently M4CS are sitting around. Nobody’s buying M4’s at £130k..
You can get 100 (yes 100) Mile M4CSL’s for under £90k, which was also £130k new. Im number one on my dealers M2CS list, but it would be no issue getting one I dont think. They also have an unsold Riviera blue M4CS due in for stock at the end of this month. |

this times 100 but also understand that people love to spend money to feel special. whatever floats your boat but people expected the CS to have a different personality than a base G87 is a headscratcher

The dealership I deal with told me they’ve never heard of this and so he can’t add me to a list. Not sure if I should try another dealership.

It’ll probably be hard to get an allocation to custom order one unless you pony up some ADM $$$. After the rush when they first come you’ll be able to find them on lots. Might have to travel and be flexible on color/options. Probably the best car deal I ever got was on my M4CS, was around 20% off. I don’t forsee that for the next M2CS, but they’ll definitely be around.
