BMW
A new division to fully restore the most glorious BMWs from 20+ years ago. It would be like buying a brand new retro car straight from the factory. Charge the fee of around 2-3x the original msrp from back in the day while including full factory warranty for a minimum of 5 years. Basically Jordans for BMWs. Then I'll head down to that ///Mediocre division to lay a big smack down. |

I would have a line of cars that was clearly delineated from each other. There would be 3 or 4 models with 1 coupe and 1 SUV. All models would be feature loaded to to eliminate options and overlap. All models but the entry level model would come in either luxury, sport or competition (think AMG or M). The sport model would not share visual traits with the competition model like sport lines and tuning lines do today. The luxury line would not look like a tamed version of the sport line. The entry level car would be made spartan to encourage people to move upward in the brand. Each level of the brand would stop clearly short of the next level above it.
I understand that this would be a losing business plan but I do long for the days where people wouldn't use the term "just as good" when comparing different models of cars from the same manufacturer. |

I would produce something like BMWs at Hyundai price points with Toyota reliability and zero emissions.

I think I'd do something quirky. Something looking very reminiscent of classical race car design; something like a 40's speedster indy car. It would be all electric with bleeding edge technology throughout. I'd market it specifically as a track day toy like the Atom, BAC Mono, and the Radical SR3.

If I were any of the German automakers, I would build a half ton pickup truck.
Let me tell you why: -SALES- look at how many trucks are sold in the USA, I would want a piece of that! -Powertrain- Truck people love power. Imagine a 50i engine tuned for torque and reliability in a full size truck. It would be awesome, next level. -Luxury- Sure you can get leather in a F150 but it just is not the same level you could provide from BMW/Mercedes. People already pay $70k for pickup trucks, why not $80k? -Style- Given that most trucks never see work, having a flashy nice looking ride that CAN work is appealing to people. Give the people what they want. Honestly I believe Mercedes has the chops to make a truck work. Look at the G wagon and go from there. It would be luxurious, capable, powerful and look/sound the part. Hell offer an AMG version too! |

Another idea:
Bring back cars like the BMW 507. STYLE. Offer it with a modern suspension and engine that puts a smile on your face. Tell me some guy that wants a sweet ass car in retirement wouldn't buy a classically styled car? Make it parts bin, utilize existing chassis and parts but tweak it for the model. MMMMMM |

Porsche, do what Singer is already doing and making tons of money. Bring back the air cooled 911. Update it with a few newer and nicer items and sit back and watch the cash roll in...
